The Lou Next Top 100 Championship Team

The camp featured 100 Class of 2031 prospects from the region. Here is a look at Team Stix, who won the championship of the event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mason Smith: A 6'6" forward from Kansas City who has excellent length and athleticism. He ran the court like a gazelle and he scored multiple buckets on transition rim-runs in every game. He has a soft touch around the basket and he could also hit the 15 footer. He also delivered some nice passes as he could see over the defense. He had a strong defensive presence with his ability to block shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3671926' first='Tony' last='Jones']: A 5'9" guard from Sikeston Jr. High who is an effective slasher who was constantly getting into the lane. He scored on power drives to the basket and he was also hitting pull up jumpers in the mid range. He was also hitting 3-pointers off the catch. He's a dynamic athlete who plays under control.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ronald Drake: A 5'4" point guard from St. Louis Catholic Academy who has good quickness and who plays the role of the floor general perfectly. He runs the pick and roll well and can make the pocket pass to the short roller. He sets up defenders well to get by them on dribble penetration. He can also provide some good on ball defensive pressure.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3774855' first='Nate' last='Wise']: A 5'9" southpaw point guard from Francis Howell Middle who played the game at a very smooth pace. He is an excellent playmaker and facilitator. He changed speeds well and was a good finisher in the lane. He was also knocking down 3-pointers off the catch against zone defenses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kingston Zion-Harris: A 6'3" forward from Virginia who is long and athletic and who plays with plenty of bounce. He is a good rebounder who was running the court and blocking shots. He also blocked a few 3-pointers with his quick jump and long wingspan. He has a quick first step to beat defenders off the dribble. He distributed the ball well and he was making open perimeter shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kobe Redden: A 5'9" guard from Dubray Middle who is a good athlete who was getting downhill on slashing drives into the lane. He finished well in the paint while displaying some good body control in traffic. He was also an active defender who played the passing lanes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brody Panton: A 5'8" guard from Trinity Lutheran in Cape Girardeau who provided some solid minutes off the bench.
