SWFL Fall League Eye-Catchers, Another Five

Fall Leagues are taking place across the state, as teams come together and prep for the 2026-27 season. This is an important part of the year as players land with their new squads, and teams develop chemistry after the summer months. Let's take a closer look at some of the SWFL prospects who have stood out this fall season.    A tremendous 2-way player for the Tarpons, DiBene, has put together an excellent offseason for himself. The rising senior has picked up a couple offers, and continues to push himself to a better player. He is a lockdown defender who won't back down from a challenge, and really prides himself on that side of the ball. The 5'10" PG is a smart player who handles the ball very well, and attacks the basket with no fear, but might be most effective from behind the arc, where he shoots it a very high rate.     Code continues to improve his skillset and mature his game as he enters his junior year. He is a strong, physical guard with an excellent basketball IQ, who plays the game hard and just wants to win. The 5'10" CG has great court vision and is a tremendous passer, who is always looking to get his teammates involved. Code can score inside and out, where he can create his own shot and attack the basket, or knock down the 3-ball consistently in the catch and shoot game.     The rising freshman, Minton, seems primed for a big year. The 6'0" PG has already gained some varsity experience as an 8th grader, and is a prospect who is constantly working on his game, whether it's in the gym or in the weight room. He is a 3-level scorer with great athleticism, who creates mismatches both offensively and defensively. He has the ability to guard multiple positions on defense, and also rebounds the ball very well from the guard position.     A do it all type of player for the Bull Sharks, Lyons, never takes a play off and will do whatever the team needs to get the win. The rising junior seems to play the game with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, and brings great energy an emotion each time he steps on the floor. He is a hard-nosed, gritty defender who always steps up to a challenge, and is a big asset on the boards for Bonita. Lyons does all the little things, but is also an effective shooter from behind the arc.     Cernuska will be looked upon to take on a much larger roll for Oasis this upcoming season. The big man for the sharks has good athleticism and is able to guard multiple positions on defense. He is also an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor, and does a good job getting up and down the court in the transition game. He is solid down low with his post play, and also has a nice soft touch in his mid-range game.
