Preseason Player of the Year: 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2906437' first='Owen' last='Hammersland'] (Central Elkader)

The Warriors won the small school division last winter, and they should be considered the favorite to repeat heading into this season with the Hammersland boys back. Senior guard Owen can do a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor, and as the best player on the team that figures to be the favorite, is a pretty easy selection here.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2906437' first='Owen' last='Hammersland'] (Central Elkader): 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 steals

Hammersland led the Warriors in scoring and is a versatile guard who can score and create for his teammates. A solid on-ball defender with quick hands and feet, he'll be the focal point of the offensive attack for a Central Elkader team looking to repeat.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='3343976' first='Trey' last='Cota'] (Kee): 16.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals

If a team is going to jump up and challenge Central Elkader at the top of the division this winter, it may be Kee, led by Cota. An athletic guard who can fill it up from anywhere as well as create for his teammates, efficiency and ball security will be points of emphasis for him this winter.

2029 Conner Winters (Kee): 10.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.1 blocks, 61.2 FG%

Winters, a 6-3 forward, was really good as a freshman for the Hawks, coming close to averaging a double-double while also serving as a strong rim protector. Look for him to become one of the best two-way players in the league this winter.

2028 Griffen Hammersland (Central Elkader): 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals, 39.2 3P%

The younger Hammersland boy is a really good shooting threat, burying 39% of his 3-point attempts last winter while also serving as a reliable secondary playmaker. He'll be asked to do a bit more with the ball in his hands this winter following the graduation of Isaac Loan, one of their top playmakers last season.

2027 Brody Wolff (West Central): 12.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals

The Blue Devils' leading scorer and one of their top playmakers, he'll once again be the focal point of the offensive attack this winter.
