Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the members of Team No. 5 from last Sunday's Freshman Showcase at the Beal Center in Chesterfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='2399020' first='Jace' last='Horn'] (Webb City): A 5'10" point guard who was one of the top prospects in the event. He is an excellent playmaker with good court vision and he knew how to control the pace of the action. He is also a three-level offensive threat with tremendous shooting range beyond the 3-point line. He can also create off the dribble with a nice pull up game at the step-back jumper. Prep Hoops Missouri has him ranked No. 1 in 2030 and he certainly looked the part on Sunday.

Scottie Simpson (Battle): The 6'3" shooting guard from Mid-Missouri was the top prospect in the camp. It was clearly evident from the moment he stepped on the court. He displayed his three-level scoring ability along with his explosive athleticism. He was playing at his own pace at all times. He attacked the basket and scored with ease and displayed his vast offensive bag with a variety moves off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='3699024' first='Kristian' last='Heard'] (Lutheran North): A 5'11" combo guard who could really score in a variety of ways. He is the size of a point guard, but he has the scoring chops and mentality of a shooting guard. He showed excellent handles and he displayed them in iso situtations where he could create. He was elevating on the pull up jumper and he was also knocking down 3-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2625768' first='Colin' last='Keaney'] (Chaminade): A 6'1" guard who has good athleticism and length. He is an very good passer who can also score in a variety of ways. He could shoot it from 3-point range and he also attacked the basket and scored on some tough takes in the lane. He was capable of scoring in the lane with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='3754192' first='Preston' last='Green'] (Oakville): A 6'1" guard who played with a lot of activity with an impressive motor. He was hustling on the boards and keeping the ball alive while also getting to loose balls. We liked how he was blocking out people for position whenever a shot went up. He also maneuvered in the lane with the ball while backing down his defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='3735124' first='Brandon' last='President'] (Battle): A 6'0" forward who plays much bigger than his actual height. He was a force in the low post area with his physical strength and nice footwork inside. He had a nice touch in the paint with either the drop step or the fadeaway. He played with tremendous effort as he simply outworked people to get things done.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867699' first='Grant' last='Hellert'] (CBC): A 6'1" forward who was having an productive day before he turned an ankle and had to go to the sidelines. He has a big physical body and he used his strength and mobility to his advantage. He was gobbling up rebounds and getting out of his area to corral boards. He could also attack on the drive effectively.

[player_tooltip player_id='3725922' first='Drake' last='Donaldson'] (DeSmet): A 6'2" point guard who combines excellent playmaking skills along with his ability to score. He handles it well and he was dropping some nice dimes with his court vision. He was constant motion on the court with his movement without the ball. He was penetrating and scoring in the lane and knocking down shots from 3-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='3759525' first='Cooper' last='Coleman'] (St. Elizabeth): A 6'3" forward from Mid-Missouri who has impressive athleticism and a blue collar work ethic. He did an excellent job positioning himself for rebounding at both ends of the court. He also threw down a couple of dunks to showcase his athletic ability around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='3729599' first='Eli' last='Arnold'] (Fort Osage): A 6'5" forward who has a big body and who plays a physical game around the basket that is very effective. His motor was also strong as he was rebounding, blocking shots and attacking the basket off the dribble. He could also step out and knock down a 3-pointer.
