Players worked through skill development and station work before moving into five-on-five competition, giving our staff an extended look at how each prospect operated within a team setting. The camp provided opportunities to evaluate players as scorers, facilitators, defenders and rebounders, along with the different ways they contributed to winning possessions. He used his explosiveness to get downhill, finish plays around the basket and create scoring opportunities in transition. That same athletic ability translated to the defensive end, where Solomon covered ground quickly and had the physical tools to handle different assignments. He was confident operating off the dribble and had the handle to work his way through traffic without getting sped up. Hall used changes of pace and direction to get past defenders while consistently putting himself in position to create offense. His combination of length and athleticism allowed him to cover a lot of ground and disrupt plays in different areas of the floor. Hopkins used his reach to get into passing lanes, deflect passes and bother opposing players with his activity. He pursued rebounds with purpose, established good position around the basket and used strong hands to secure the ball in traffic. Phillips finished possessions on the defensive end while also creating extra opportunities with his work on the offensive boards. He was effective as a shot-maker from the perimeter, but his offensive production extended beyond his jumper. Ellis attacked off the dribble, found his way into the paint and finished well once he reached the basket. He found different ways to contribute without needing the basketball in his hands, consistently making plays that helped his team on both ends of the floor. Swanson played with good awareness, competed defensively and was willing to handle whatever responsibility was needed.
