All State Senior William Lechtenberg hearing from several schools

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3685713' first='William' last='Lechtenberg'] is a 6'3, 190 pound senior shooting guard that has really started to make some noise on a higher level. William is from El Dorado High School and he was named honorable mention all state this past season, second team all Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Conference, and third team all metro in his area (Wichita). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lechtenberg averaged 11.3 points a game this past season making 44 percent of his field goal attempts and 35 percent of his threes plus grabbed five boards a game and had nearly two steals a contest. William dealt with some injury issues but he played with [program_tooltip program_id='3612975' first='Kansas' last='Select'] in 17 and Under when he was able to this spring and summer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I only got to play in two tournaments with my team, getting to double digits in points for all the games in the two tournaments," William told Prep Hoops. "I only got to play two tournaments because I had PRP done on my knee simply just because of a little knee pain. But I was able to put on 15 pounds of muscle and shoot everyday getting 33,000 shots up from the end of May until the end of July. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"But some highlights were traveling with the team and bonding with all of them."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>William is now focused on his senior year and his recruitment process as he looks towards college basketball after his high school year is complete. He's also a student athlete with a 3.96 grade point average which is another factor within his recruitment. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I am talking to many different colleges, I have a visit set up to MidAmerica Nazarene University and Benedictine College right now and possibly Johnson County Community College," Williams said. "Colby College has also reached out to me about camps along with Southwestern College.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"My upcoming goal would be to receive my first offer, and talk to a couple more coaches."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So we know William can score, we know he has been honored for his play, and we know colleges are looking at him for those abilities, but what type of player is he? We asked William himself!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"(I am) easily capable of getting to the rim whenever," William said. "(I am a) Shooter with a post game.
