2027 Rucker on Wood: High Level Guards Who Excel

The 2027 annual Rucker on Wood was full of complete and high IQ guards who made the game look easy on both sides of the ball. Several of these prospects were looking to impress media and collegiate coaches in attendance as well as the evaluators who were also present at the session. The class of 2027 is ready to make their impact during their senior year and hopefully earn themselves an opportunity to continue playing at the next level.    Cason's physical play on both ends helps create opposing turnovers and opportunities for his team to get quick and momentum-shifting offensive buckets. He fits in well, affecting the game from the one or the two position and he is very vocal on defense, especially when it comes to the perimeter. He is definitely drawing looks from coaches at the collegiate level due to his multi-tool skillset and aggressiveness on both ends.     Jayden is a combo guard who can make an impact in the stats column from both guard positions. He is a dual-threat playmaker and scorer, and he can hurt the defense by either scoring or assisting open teammates. His quick footwork and size up out of the triple threat allows him to constantly blaze past defenders to the paint and create open shot opportunities from all three levels. He crashes the glass well on both sides the ball and plays very fundamental defense on the perimeter.     Lucas was easily one of the top passers at the session, and he threw some dime-dropping passes to cutters under the rim, corner shooters, and in the pick and roll game, he utilized his post players well. Bello showed blazing speed on fastbreaks and his decision making opened several doors for his team to maintain their leads in majority of the games they played. Lucas controls the offense from the point guard slot with a steady pace, and he possesses high IQ in the half-court setting.     Javen Nededog is a high IQ combo guard from West Fork that displays top-notch court vision and elite passing ability. Javen competed in his first Rucker on Wood this year and made a name for himself on the winning championship team during the 2027 session. Javen pushed the ball in transition, and he consistently scored off the dribble with smooth jumper and found open teammates on the perimeter for looks at the basket. I first got to watch Nededog last year for the Gators at West Fork and he showed me that he has the talent to make an impact when he is on the floor.
