This year's PrepHoops Oregon Freshman Showcase took place at The Beaverton Hoop YMCA and many of the top in-state players and beyond from the Class of 2030 took the court to compete against one another in some very spirited competition. We had the opportunity to watch the action from start to finish, and after conferring with a number of other observers in attendance have come up with our All-Camp Teams – five members each on the First, Second, and Third Team. Here is the First Team.

Strong, athletic build allowed him to easily power past defenders to the rim. Was extremely tough going to his strong left but could also drive right and finish with his off hand. As much as he could score every time, he passing was even more impressive as his overall court sense, vision and anticipation, and delivery of the ball to teammates for scores was next-level. Averaged double figure points and just under double figure assists and made everyone around him better when he was in the game. (JT)

Tyrus stood out as one of the top offensive players in the game we watched, leading all scorers with 17 points. He is a skilled ball handler with a quick first step that allowed him to get past defenders and attack the rim. Saepharn showed his versatility as both a slasher and outside shooter, making him a difficult matchup for defenders. His ability to create off the dribble and score from multiple areas of the floor stood out throughout the game. (AG)

Lead guard with a dynamic style of play. Very skilled ball-handler with a great first step and a number of moves that allow him to blow past defenders. Scored at all three levels, shooting stroke both off the catch and pull-ups in the lane were sharp. Did a good job finding the open man for buckets and showed good motor defensively on the ball. Should be an impact player immediately at Benson. (JT)

This Left handed PG's was one of the best talents throughout the event as a “versatile guard”. He's a good athlete, plays with quickness, and is really fast getting up and down the floor with or without the basketball. Athletic, a solid shot-blocking guard who competes on every possession, gets around screens with good balance and coordination, and will be a defensive stopper somewhere in his high school career due to his good reaction base. Has great court vision, solid passing skills, creative off the dribble, and decent 3-pt. shooting range. He can get downhill in a hurry versus contact and spin in traffic attacking the basket. Good rebounder from a point guard. (LL)

Explosive all-around guard who established himself as one of the top players at the event. Had his way blowing by defenders to get to the rim and finished brilliantly through traffic all day. Displayed a smooth handle while using a combination of strength and quickness to create space. Consistently scored at all three levels and flashed terrific athleticism and instincts on both ends. (JT)

Additional contributions from Andrew Gill and Lorenzo Leaks.
