Another summer has come and gone, and it gave us plenty worth logging. Across North Dakota, underclassmen and upperclassmen alike, from bigger programs and small-town schools, put together stretches of basketball that turned heads and made noise. Whether it came from seeing them hoop live, digging through film, or hearing good things from coaches across the state, these are the hoopers that kept surfacing for all the right reasons.

In this article, we're rounding up a group of North Dakota standouts who put in the work this offseason and showed it on the floor. He's good off the dribble and makes positive plays once he gets into the paint. Austin can also knock down triples from the 3-point arc. With his size, Fenske is a solid defender and productive rebounder. He has the potential to be a nice contributor for Coach Ralph's squad.

Brady's defense and decision-making have come a long way this offseason. Woods also had a nice growth spurt and has used that newly found length to block shots and take away clean looks. Brady had some big shooting games with GF Heat; he nailed clutch 3-pointers this summer and showed off his potential.

He is up to 6'7" height, you have to love that length! Bryaden stood out in the Hazen summer league. His strength was a difference-maker. Sharp is extremely versatile on defense. He defended players like Friesz (Flasher), Fleck (Flasher), and Weidner (Beulah). Sharp is also skilled on the offensive end. The Cardinals are excited to watch his growth on the hardwood this winter.

Eli put in the time this offseason to expand his game and sharpen his skills. He is a left-hander and a great perimeter shooter. Eli worked hard to get stronger and that has helped him on the glass. He also made strides with his ball-handling and slashing ability. Maack was injured this offseason in baseball, but reports are that he will be good to go for hoops.

Best is adjusting to a new role as a leader for the Wolves and is looking the part. He put in a ton of time this summer and has looked good running the offense. Kyle knows the game well, works his tail off, is a positive teammate, and is a capable shooter.

Alberts put together a solid summer of basketball. Sonny extended his offensive game beyond the free-throw line and is becoming a more confident shooter. He will be a BIG problem in Class B as most teams will have a problem with his size, and inside/out scoring. He will also clean up on the boards.

Fleck was a borderline All-State baller last season after averaging 20 and 10. He continued to grow as a player over the summer months; the expectations are high. Tiernan is known as a gym rat who is always working on his game and has dedicated himself to the weight room this offseason. He will be a stock riser in the next Rankings update.

Trey really started to come into his own this summer. He is an extremely fast and athletic PG who gets downhill and to the rim with ease. Trey has developed a quality jump shot, which makes him hard to guard. Mr. Johnson has shown a good amount of growth and confidence this summer. The Burros are excited to see what he can do this winter.

Word on the street is that Mr. Meyer looked fantastic this summer. Ty stood out as one of the top players in league games and team camps. He looks poised for a big high school season. Meyer will be a clever playmaker at the PG spot for the Bulldogs. He is a sharpshooter with sharp skills. This youngster can ball.
