@PrepHoopsTN MidTen Combine featured hard-working hoopers, aged 15-17 years old.  For the rest of the summer, we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day, June 7th, 2026. This was the first time the event took place inside Smyrna High School, and they graciously hosted to perfection.

Crafty. He adeptly identified the few times he owned a strength advantage and rightfully bullied his defender to establish an anchor for his post game. Great patience with the ball. Strong III hit the outside shot in halfcourt settings, but never forced a three-pointer. His discipline as an offensive player was incredible, specfically in a showcase event where most guards are trigger-happy. With two years of high school basketball left JP Strong III JP Strong III 6'0" | PG Davidson Academy | 2028 State TN will be in the conversation for Top 10 point guards statewide consistently.

Speedy. Skilled. During the day Dillon was nearly impossible to dispossess of the ball. Dillon Springs Dillon Springs 5'10" | PG Pope John Paul II | 2029 State TN ' skill stands out from his peers. If he does not get much taller (7'4" standing reach), then he will constantly be fighting an uphill battle. Springs is very good. This is just a long-term concern. Tremendous shooter.

Solid on-ball defender. Prideful defender. Very strong for his age. Broad shoulders. Elegant with the spin dribble. Thomas goes by Tre. His lane agility times should be improved (13.18 seconds, 12.65 seconds). He did improve a whole half-second from his first try to second try. This is common as participants learn the steps, the movements they tend to improve. If Haynes III does in fact have lower 12 second time, then he is on track as a young guard. Kirkwood is loaded with guards, so playing time will be coveted and competed heavily for. Tre's defense will earn him playing time for a team with State Championship ambitions.

Miles Elam Miles Elam 6'3" | SF/CG Centennial | 2029 TN hit a game winner in 4v4 against a then-undefeated team. The 4v4 drill emphasized spacing and shot-making. Teams did not get two bites of the apple as play ended after their first shot each possession. Elam's team was ok, but their opponents entered the contest unbeaten. Elam gave his team an impressive win and he showed no fear in a tense moment. His big hands (8.1" x 8.0") help in the sport of basketball where controlling a basketball is key. Also, defending is easier with long fingers...rebounding is too.
