Outstanding in the Offseason

But now it's time to turn the full spotlight back to NoDak. This article is dedicated entirely to ND, highlighting the hoopers who put in serious work this offseason and made sure their names were part of the conversation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">From club tournaments to high school events, camps, open gyms, and individual workouts, these are the players who stood out, improved their games, and gave us plenty of reasons to be excited heading into the winter. North Dakota basketball is loaded with talent, and this group proved exactly why. Schirado had a standout summer, so the expectations are sky-high. Benny spent a ton of time in the weight room this off-season and got considerably stronger. Benny looks like a different player compared to March. He was committed to the daily grind of putting in work on individual skills, he got up thousands of shots. He played great with GriND and his high school squad. Brody took on the challenge of guarding multiple positions and continues to improve all aspects of his offensive game. He will be a dude for the Skyhawks in his senior season. Dawson is an elite high-level shooter. He scores at three levels while also changing his pace and direction extremely well. Davis sees the floor and makes the right reads. He makes his teammates better by creating shots for them. Davis has also improved drastically on the defensive side of the ball. His best basketball is ahead of him as his body matures. Jaxson is consistently in the gym shooting, working in the weight room, and attacking PT/rehab. He did not miss an open gym or weight room session! Getting stronger helped Lane finish through contact at team camps. Lockhart can shoot, space the floor, and play with a high IQ. He is exceeding expectations; it looks like he will be a serious role player for the Miners. Logan is strong, rebounds well, runs the floor hard, scores with a soft touch, and has a nice handle. As he improves his aggressiveness, he will become an even better player. Christensen is always competing! He had a great offseason in the weight room. Reese is tough inside &amp; out, with his size and athleticism, he makes for a tough matchup. He does a very good job of staying wide in transition and knocks down the triple. Reese has impressive body control and has some sweet moves in the paint. Wyatt is an outstanding three-level scorer. Weekley's shooting range, ability to score inside, and versatility to play multiple positions make him one of the toughest matchups in ND. Wyatt has bulked up over the summer; his ability to defend and block shots will not go unnoticed.
