On the Rise: 2028 Frontcourt Prospects to Watch This Fall

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Updated 2028 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 136 players in the junior class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Here is a look at five frontcourt prospects on the rise heading into the fall.    The state's top big man in the 2028 class, Julius averaged nearly 15 points and more than 11 rebounds per game for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars'] during July. He is a mobile big man with impressive size and length, along with above average athleticism that allows him to get off the floor quickly and finish around the basket. Julius has solid hands, can establish position and score effectively on the block, and plays with a high motor.     Harris is an intriguing frontcourt prospect with a tremendous amount of long term potential. He is a mobile big man with high level size, length and athleticism who finishes effectively around the rim and uses his physical tools to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Harris rebounds outside of his area and can alter shots as a rim protector, giving him significant two way upside as his overall skill set continues to develop.     Bailey is a versatile combo forward with good length and an intriguing inside/outside offensive skill set. He has impressive touch around the basket and is especially effective in the midrange, where he can consistently convert scoring opportunities. Bailey averaged nearly a double-double for the [program_tooltip program_id='2433307' first='Atlanta' last='Celtics'] during July, showcasing his ability to rebound at a high level and impact the game with his motor and activity.     The versatile junior forward averaged nearly 16 points and eight rebounds per game for the Atlanta All Stars on the UA Rise circuit. Avaliani has an impressive inside/outside offensive skill set and can score effectively on the block while also operating away from the basket. He has a high basketball IQ, moves well without the ball and consistently finds ways to put himself in position to score.     Another versatile combo forward, Evans is comfortable operating both on the perimeter and around the basket. He has a high basketball IQ and good feel for the game, allowing him to impact the offense in a variety of ways. Evans is also an above average athlete who plays with a high motor and consistently brings good effort on both ends of the floor.
