Frontcourt Recruiting Remains Frenetic

Frontcourt Recruiting Remains Frenetic

PICTURED: Tyler Sigmund

After the LIVE periods of July college coaches are more clear on their 2027 and 2028 targets than ever. With the new information observed and organized most of these coaches are extended verbal offers, inviting players to campus. Nobody curates this information specifically on Tennessee-based hoopers like @PrepHoopsTN. If you want to share your recruiting developments, DM anytime.

Tyler Sigmund (Maryville HS/ FBC Reign AAU) earned a Division II offer Monday. Trevecca Nazarene University Head Coach Nathan Moran extended a verbal offer to Tyler. Sigmund's older brother just graduated from Maryville High School and is beginning his college career this upcoming fall at Lee University (D2).

Tyler is merely a junior-to-be, so he has plenty of time to attract more offers. This is a wonderful development in his high school career, and it actually provides the player and his family important assurance that they are on the right path.

Landon Warren (Perry County) camped with Tusculum University and walked away with an offer. Warren was a PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star years ago. He is a uniquely tall wing for Perry County, a team that features insane talent for 2026-2027.

https://twitter.com/BrockScribner/status/2085560084906561598?s=20

Brock Scribner (Nolensville HS) is a new name to us. He reported a new college offer that turns out is legitimate. Scribner is a tall forward/center, taller than most recruits. As the axiom goes, 'you can't coach height.'

Ian Allen (Boyd-Buchanan) earned his first offer. Covenant College's Scots offered him thanks to his combination of power and skill. Ian Allen thrives with an inside-out game, posting up guards with ease. Allen is an undersized forward who is coming off a nice summer with Tennessee Tigers 17u along with earning a PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star appearance. Ian Allen also won Defensive MVP during the PrepHoopsTN Combine. Interestingly, Allen and the aforementioned Landon Warren played for the same AAU team.

The top forward in the state, Davis Cochran, is back from his official visit to Kansas State University. Though the name may sound remote and largely disconnected from a middle Tennessee guy the Wildcats are now led by Casey Alexander, former Belmont head coach. Coach Alexander was one of the first guys to offer Davis and also recruited his older brother. In more concise words Coach Alexander is a familiar face in a foreign land. A land Davis officially visited. Cochran's next official visit will probably be the end of September to Tennessee. There are days between now and then and recruiting always moves fast, but look for that to be his next major stop. High Point has a visit on the books for early November. Power prorgrams are going do their dardnest to make sure Davis verbally commits before that day ever arrives.
