2026 PH Oregon Freshman Showcase - Team Seven Scouting Report

The PrepHoops Oregon Freshman Showcase took place on Sunday and this week, we will take a look at our scouting notes for each individual roster, breaking down this huge crop of talent from around the Pacific Northwest, player-by-player. Here's a look at Team Seven.   Scouting Reports contributed by Lorenzo Leaks    #661 - A smaller guard who's best basketball is in front of him with practice, development, and getting stronger. His victory today was showing up, competing, wanting to improve, and learn. Good team player, good attitude.     #686 - A nice, fundamentally sound player; competes and can play fast in an uptempo style, plays aggressively on the defensive end, isn't afraid to challenge offensive players, can cover his guy in the man-to-man scenario. Has a high I.Q. and good feel for the game of basketball, understands how to play this game at his height, size, skill, and talent level. Good team player, plays hard. Has 3pt. Range. Has a nice pump fake move to make baskets and/or draw fouls on defenders. All-around smaller player who competes as a team player.     #699 - One of the fastest players on the court, talented in the open court with his ability to quickly change direction while pursuing the basket is a good skill and toolbox. Good vision, and doesn't mind sharing the basketball. Moves well without the basketball to locate scoring opportunities. Good slashing and facilitating player as well, can defend on the perimeter with those quick hands and feet in the passing lane, close outs to contest shots. Defensively and also gets you a few rebounds as a guard. Good pivot footwork and decision-making.     #704 - This Left handed PG's was one of the best talents throughout the event as a “versatile guard”. He's a good athlete, plays with quickness, and is really fast getting up and down the floor with or without the basketball. Athletic, a solid shot-blocking guard who competes on every possession, gets around screens with good balance and coordination, and will be a defensive stopper somewhere in his high school career due to his good reaction base. Has great court vision, solid passing skills, creative off the dribble, and decent 3-pt. shooting range. He can get downhill in a hurry versus contact and spin in traffic attacking the basket. Good rebounder from a point guard.     #706 - A complete guard on both ends of the floor, plays with aggressiveness, competitiveness, and team spirit. A physical player who isn't afraid to battle through contact, gets down the hill strong on attack moves to the basket. Athletic enough to grab the rim easily; only a matter of time before he begins dunking; his leaping ability also helps him as a “shot blocker” on defense. Can finish with either hand in the paint as a scorer, has the ability to also knock down outside shots. Has a good work ethic, is a very hard worker, coachable, and a good rebounder from the guard spot; good size, strength, and tenacity. He's also the grandson of Bobby Boyd (1968-71 UConn Basketball - Career Points 1,122), so it's in his DNA.     #716 - A guard in the beginning phase of high school basketball development, whose progress was made throughout this event. He can see the game; the physical aspect he hasn't caught up to yet. Really good; he attended this event showing his desire to compete, learn, improve, and get better.     #723 - Played with good effort and attitude. He is a growing and developing player who is learning how to compete at this level, moves okay without the basketball, hustles, and scores on direct cuts to the basket. Can put the ball on the floor; he will evolve into a polished slasher with more game time reps and experience.     #742 - A good athlete and physically skilled basketball player to have on your team. Can rebound and score points on both ends of the floor in the paint. Has “Point Forward” talent to bring the ball up the court a few times to create an assist for his teammates. Has 3-point range as well. Physical enough to compete defensively against multiple positions. Shot blocking presence.     #980 - A fast all-around player who can score on drives, or create for his teammates, or shoot the three-pointer on any possession in transition and/or half-court setting. He runs the lanes well, sets screens, rebounds, brings energy and enthusiasm to the floor. And defensively, closes out and contest shots. Can score layups, mid-range, or three-pointers. Good slasher.
