His future as a college football player takes precedent now and early enrolling is imminent. <a href="https://prephoops.com/2026/03/the-vanishing-2027-class/">The Vanishing 2027 Class </a>lost a Top 10 hooper when he "left". </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fortunately for the general power of the Top 10 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2291122' first='Dylan' last='Jones']</strong> remains with 4A State Champion Bartlett High. He is the best wing in the state regardless of class and a pure bucket-getter. Jones creates for himself and makes baskets on all three levels. His efficiency gets better bit by bit. Division I programs are drooling over his game. Offers include: Tennessee, Tennessee State, Jacksonville, New Mexico, Providence, Texas A&amp;M, Southern Illinois University, Louisiana-Monroe, UAB, Sam Houston State, UT Martin, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, La Salle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With Briarcrest Christian <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3150194' first='Sam' last='Dabbs']</strong> earned a DII-AA State Championship this past spring. He was blocked behind Parker Pounds and should see some PT this coming season. Good guard height. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nick Steen</strong> won a State Championship in 2024 with the Fulton Falcons. In fact, Steen started as a freshman on that proficient 35-win team. A great two-way player, Steen helped force 22 turnovers by Ridgeway in that non-competitive victory.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Explosivity</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>None are skyrocketing upward at a greater trajectory than <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2622887' first='Darion' last='Taylor']</strong>. Humboldt's soaring guard continues to stun defenders with his bounce and confidence in traffic. Taylor scored 23 points on 23 shots in the State Championship, a game in which Humboldt lost to Jackson County. Taylor played better games in 2025-2026, more efficient games. His jumping ability never slumps though. Many college basketball coaches believe Darion will play college football and for that reason they are not actively recruiting him. Taylor's AAU Coach Jackson Chism contends that basketball is his love and his primary focus. We will see.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
