Recruiting: Three 2026 Prospects Announce College Choices

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Their high school careers may be over, but 2026 prospects from New Mexico are signing to play at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Six-foot-5 Albuquerque High standout <strong>Kaylem Bellamy</strong> signed with JUCO Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA, part of the Tri-Cities region. As a senior at AHS, Bellamy helped lead the Bulldogs to the District 5A-5 championship with a 19-10 overall record, 9-1 in the district and a berth in the 5A state tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He averaged 16.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game for the Bulldogs in 2025-26. He was a First-Team All-District selection.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“Kaylem is a player we are thrilled to bring into our program,” Columbia Basin head coach Anthony Owens said. “He possesses the size, versatility and toughness that will allow him to make an immediate impact. We believe he has tremendous up-side.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Also, 6-foot-10 Albuquerque Academy star <strong>Hunter Aime</strong> committed to JUCO Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA, a city locate north of Los Angeles on the western edge of the Mojave Desert.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In 2025-26, Aime helped lead Albuquerque Academy to an 18-12 overall record and a spot in the quarterfinals of the 4A state tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Also, 2026 ABC Prep guard <strong>Gabe Trujillo</strong> committed to Kansas Wesleyan. Trujillo was offered by Kansas Wesleyan, a private Christian university in Salina, KS, on June 4 soon after his solid showing at the RecruitLook event in Kansas City.
