Is Jordan Crawford the best 2030 Point Guard in TN?

When he wants to, he can lock down and defend anybody."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The P7 15u head coach started Jordan during the team's final AAU event of the 2026 summer. Before one of the P7 games he talked about the potential Crawford displays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Crawford got low and dashed like a running back hunting his hole at the UA Finals. His speed was impressive, but also his strength with the basketball. There is a toughness to him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"He loves physicality."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the coming year his AAU coach sees "him getting a little stronger," he said. Getting that shot a little better. He will continue working on it. And hopefully getting a few inches taller."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Of course, Jordan has room for improvement. He is only now entering high school after all.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"He doesn't shoot it very well. And just overall control of the game. He is a solid overall player. Like I say he can work on his shooting and overall how to control the pace of the game to where it benefits him and his teammates."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Composure and on-court leadership take time. Young guards usually have to grow into that. One aspect that suggests Jordan will is his talking.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"He is vocal on the floor. The first tournament he was hurt. He got hurt in the first game and he probably was most vocal person off the bench, so he is a total team player." </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Contenders</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Young Bartlett talent <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3664860' first='Kolby' last='Shaw']</strong>, who might be a combo guard, will battle for the class's best point guard. Considering they both currently play for Bartlett Shaw and Crawford might pair in the backcourt after [player_tooltip player_id='2194475' first='Braylon' last='Williams'] graduates. Shaw is known as an elite shooter for his age. Crawford does not have that reputation.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3586542' first='Jeff' last='Rideau'] </strong>(Kirkwood) -- Rideau's older brother was a Top 50 player for Clarksville Academy. Jeff will start his high school career with Kirkwood, a program that appears to be drawing in the lion's share of the Clarksville-area talent these days. Rideau can really play. He will always be an undersized guard, so that could be a limiting factor. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3686022' first='Connell' last='Byrne']</strong> (Bearden) -- Bearden Head Coach Jeremy Parrott foresees [player_tooltip player_id='3686022' first='Connell' last='Byrne'] contributing as a freshman. He said the last Bearden Bulldog to play as a freshman was graduated senior<strong> Justin Nordin</strong> (Navy signee). BHS teammate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2401962' first='Porter' last='Dickson']</strong> also expects Byrne to help their team. Viewers will likely not see Byrne operating the point position too much in Year One.
