New readers: Use code Proia30

We updated our rankings for the rising senior class on Tuesday, which can be found here. We have a total of 204 total players ranked from Washington DC and Maryland high schools, with 42 new prospects added in with this rankings update. In this article, we'll break down a few stock-rising frontcourt prospects to share insight from our scouts on their placement within our rankings. Let's dive in!

Previous Rank: 83

-They say that bigs take a bit more time to develop and our scouts have liked the steady progression from Barker in new threads with DeMatha. Playing with two other promising forward prospects, Barker should carve out a nice role for himself as an energy big that can throw his body around in the paint for rebounds and finish around the rim with a soft touch. Once he learns some of the nuances of the DeMatha system at both ends of the floor, he should blossom into a productive rotation player that impacts the game with his motor.

Previous Rank: 75

-Definitely more of a wing than a forward, Ndaka has some fun tools and can do a little bit of everything for a Friendship Tech group that will need a strong contribution on a nightly basis with the graduation of several long-time starters. Ndaka can put the ball on the floor to slice his way to the rim for buckets or FTs, comes up with some pesky rebounds in traffic, and can guard several different spots for his team. He's at his best in transition as a high-flying wing that floats long enough to adjust in midair to score around defenders at the rim.

Previous Rank: Unranked

-Wilson will continue to compete for the Prep team at MZ in a postgraduate year as he looks to showcase his skills for college coaches one last time this season. Wilson is an absolute pogo stick of a leaper that uses his vertical pop to finish above the rim and contest or block shots both as an on or off-ball defender. The ball-handling continues to improve to take advantage of the long strides that he takes to the rim and he's finishing much better through contact. Want to see him take and make jumpers more frequently but have liked the consistency of his shooting motion at the free throw line and his improved touch around the basket.

-Farley debuts within the top 100 in our rankings as he continues to find his way in the Stags' rotation as an undersized 4 prospect that can impact the game in several different categories. His back to the basket game has improved to score over smaller guards/wings and he has improved his handle to attack the rim in straight line drives from the perimeter. His ability to guard multiple positions and finish above the rim gives DeMatha some lineup flexibility for him to scale up or down to impact the game without needing a ton of touches.

Previous Rank: Unranked

-I got to see Yeboah for the first time in a Live Period Warmup event and came away impressed with his quick decisions and physicality as a wing prospect with some nice upside. I wouldn't say that he's capable of mixing perimeter defenders but the handle IS good enough to change directions around defenders in his downhill drives to the basket. He gets off his feet quickly to block shots or score on putbacks around the basket and really takes pride in his ability to rebound the basketball. Really interested to see how he is deployed in a Lions' lineup that is taking advantage of the offseason opportunities to work in several new pieces and adjust to both their leading scorers graduating to play at the college level.
