2027 Newcomer PG/CG’s

He has advanced court vision and will drive and kick it and advance passes. He will score with downhill takes, threes off the catch and uses his go-go gadget arms to defend on the ball and disrupt the passing lanes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3649422' first='Jacob' last='Jensen'] <strong>Gilbert Christian</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring combo guard can make plays and will move the ball unselfishly to the open teammate. He can also fill it up and gets hot quickly with jumpers from deep and pull-up from mid-range. What stands out is he has a tighter handle in close spaces to get some separation to let it fly. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3625584' first='John' last='Karstadt'] <strong>Highland</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A cerebral combo guard who can make players around him better with good decisions and can score. He will shoot it with threes off the catch or he will pull-up from mid-range. He also has a sneaky quick first step to get to the basket downhill and brings a little toughness. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3668362' first='Jake' last='Dox'] <strong>Chaparral </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring combo guard may be one of the top breakout players in 5A. He immediately comes in and fires away with a super high arcing jumper. He loves the corners and he will get his shot off quickly from the three point line and will also burst past to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3588648' first='Desmond' last='Davidson'] <strong>Empire</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An almost throw back pure point guard has his head on swivel as he is always surveying the scene to try and find a teammate. He has advanced court vision with every pass in the book and plays at a good pace and he is calm. He can burst past defenders to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3649414' first='Daniel' last='Andrade'] <strong>Cesar Chavez </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A quick on quick undersized point guard who can score and facilitate. He is very quick on the ball to pester his opponents on defense. He will score with threes off the catch or pull and quick bursts to the basket. He will make plays with some pick and roll action and will find the open player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3662780' first='David' last='Evans'] <strong>McClintock</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger sized point guard who can make correct reads by spraying the ball around to teammates with good decision making. He will also score with offensive rebound put backs with his size, transition layups and threes off the catch. He should have a big season this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
