We recently updated our 2028 class rankings in Virginia, adding over 25 names in a class that continues to get better it seems like every day. Here's a look at part two of the guards and wings from the Hampton Roads area.

#72) MJ Fitch | 5'11” PG | Kellam

Fitch is part of a Kellam backcourt that will be one of the best in the area, and he's showing this summer with Team Loaded 757 that he can not only hang but be a big scoring threat too. While he isn't the biggest guy he s very good at playing with pace and getting wherever he needs to off the bounce, he understands and uses angles really well when he's finishing over bigger defenders, he can knock it down from deep and in the midrange off the bounce, and he has a competitive chip on both ends you can't help but appreciate.

#78) KJ Whaley | 5'9” PG | Green Run

Whaley came into a situation at Green Run that really needed someone to step up in the point guard position, and he did just that leading the Stallions to another deep playoff run. The 5'9” guard is a carbon copy of what we've come to expect from Green Run as he picks up 94 feet and makes ball handlers uncomfortable, he's lightning quick and gets in the lane at will, he can create shots for himself and others, and he brings a lot of toughness every second he's playing.

#79) Tajari Negron | 6'2” SF | Hampton

Negron was a vital piece for the Crabbers last season, and with many of their top players graduating he's in a situation that he'll have a chance for a breakout junior season next year. He is a big time athlete who thrives in transition and is very good defensively, he can knock down open shots playing off the ball, he's a good slasher and finisher when he's handling the ball, and he's a good rebounder on both ends as well.

#109) Elijah Long | 5'10” CG | Lake Taylor

While Long was more of a rotational piece for Lake Taylor in their run to the Class 3 State Championship, he's going to be a much more important role in one of the area's best backcourts next year. The 5'10” combo is a bucket getter who can knock down shots from all over the floor, he's very good at creating space and doesn't need a ton of it to get his shot off, he's great in ball screens creating for himself and others, and he is a very good on ball defender too.

#111) CJ Ronase | 6'0” SG | Catholic

Ronase is having a good summer so far with Team Loaded 757, and the more confident he is heading into the season will be good for him as there will be a lot of opportunities for a new look Catholic team. He's a great connector piece who will do a lot of the little things like wing 50-50 balls and take charges, he works well within the flow of the offense to get open shots, he's a good rebounder and plays with a good motor, and he's got a lot of room to continue to improve moving froward.
