Top 15-16u Performers from day one at the Midwest Showcase.

Day one from the Midwest Showcase did not disappoint in the 15-16u group. These kids came to compete and showcased their skills individually. There were high scoring performances across every game with these players scoring from all three levels.    Josh took over in his first game against [program_tooltip program_id='2076025' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze']. He started his scoring by getting to the hoop and finishing multiple layups. He then started to extend his range by knocking down two contested mid range jump-shots. Once the second half started, he continued his amazing scoring. He came out the gate hitting two quick three to help extend his teams lead. Once [program_tooltip program_id='2076025' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] started a comeback, he subbed back in and helped his team gain a larger lead. He finished the game with 24 points on excellent shooting Josh is without a doubt one of the most talented I've watched and at such a young age, his future looks bright.     Fayshawn is the definiton of a scrappy Point guard. With his height he was able to get multiple steals in the press and turn those into point for him and his teammates. Against [program_tooltip program_id='2076025' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'], he collected multiple steals in the first half and rack up 10 easy points. In the second half, he continued his defensive masterclass. He also showed off his jumper by hitting two three pointers to make hit point total 16 for the game. He finished the dominant win with 16 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals. At 5'5 he is such an impressive player to watch and everyone should see him play.     Mason is one of the most aggressive finishers I've seen from the 15u category. He is not afraid on contact and finishes his layups at a high rate. With his size, he is able to get downhill with ease and finish and one opportunities. He can also shoot the three at a high percentage and isn't afraid to take big shots in crunch time. He was able to knock down a couple long range three's in his first game after a rokcy start. He finished his first game with 15 points and followed up his second game with 17 points coming from all three levels.     Wesley certainly surprised me in his game against [program_tooltip program_id='3596043' first='BAU' last='Select']. He showed off his jumper by being able to hit three well contested threes with ease. He was also able to finish layups with a defender in front of him and take a hit while converting. He was also an amazing defender with his height. He collected 3 blocks in his first game and all of them created scoring chances for his teammates. He is also a good rebounder and came close to a double double in his first game.     Levi is one of the best spot up shooters I've watched. He will get to his spot and wait for the ball to come to him and be ready to knock down the shot. He also moves well off the ball and can create his own shot and hit it at a high rate. In his game against [program_tooltip program_id='3596043' first='BAU' last='Select'] he came off the bench and was a factor immediately. Once he knocked down his first three there was no looking back. He continued to make threes and tough midranges to help spark a comeback for his team. He is also a phenominal free throw shooter, going perfect from the line in all his games over the weekend.
