There are plenty of fresh faces in the latest Alabama 2028 rankings update, and several prospects have officially announced themselves as players to watch. These newcomers have earned their spots through consistent production, strong offseason performances, and continued development. Here is a deeper look at the latest additions to the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194591' first='Mason' last='Ellis'] (6'3/CG/'28/Montgomery Academy)

IG: masewitdashifts.1

X: @Masewitdashift

Mason makes an impressive debut in the rankings at the No. 7 spot, and it is easy to understand why. He is one of the most dynamic offensive guards in Alabama's 2028 class, combining end-to-end speed with an aggressive scoring mentality that constantly puts opposing defenses under pressure. He thrives with the ball in his hands and is one of the toughest isolation scorers in the class because of his ability to create separation and knock down difficult shots. His first step allows him to consistently get downhill, where he lives in the paint and forces defenders into uncomfortable situations. Once he gets inside the lane, he has the body control, touch, and creativity to finish through contact or around shot blockers.

Kaleb Tilman (6'5/Wing-Forward/'28/Tuscaloosa County)

IG: official_kaleb

Kaleb enters the rankings at No. 19 after putting together an impressive body of work that showcased some of the highest athletic upside in the state. Regardless of class, he has an argument as one of Alabama's most explosive athletes. He has positional size and length, and he impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his physical tools. Offensively, he is at his best attacking the basket. He is an aggressive slasher who covers ground quickly, and once he gains a step on his defender, there are very few players capable of meeting him at the rim. If help defense is late, it's usually “cleared for takeoff” as he finishes above the rim with authority. Defensively, his length, athleticism, and ability to guard multiple positions make him equally valuable.

[player_tooltip player_id='3677231' first='Landon' last='Howard'] (6'2/CG/'28/Sparkman)

Landon debuts at No. 18 as he has established himself as one of the purest scorers in the class. Simply put, he is a bucket. Few players possess the natural scoring instincts and confidence that he brings every time he steps on the floor. He has the ability to score from all three levels and his offensive versatility makes him an extremely difficult matchup because defenders must constantly account for every aspect of his scoring arsenal. Opponents across the state have learned firsthand that containing him for four quarters is no easy task. As he continues adding strength and polishing his overall playmaking ability, Landon has the potential to continue climbing the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='3677224' first='Jaylen' last='Rivers'] (6'7/PF-C/'28/Greenville)

IG: mrdoitall_6_7v

Jaylen makes his debut at No. 22 and immediately gives the class another intriguing frontcourt prospect with considerable upside. At 6-foot-7, his size, length, and athleticism allow him to make an immediate impact around the basket, particularly on the defensive end. His presence is felt as a rim protector who consistently alters shots while developing into an emerging shot blocker. He covers ground well defensively and uses his length to contest everything around the rim. He is also active on the glass, where he rebounds outside of his area and creates extra possessions for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2916107' first='Corey' last='White'] Jr. (6'2/CG/'28/Fairfield)

Corey makes his first appearance in the rankings at No. 23 and may very well be one of the most underrated players in the 2028 class. Having played alongside one of the state's premier talents in MJ Jones, Corey has often sacrificed individual recognition, but he has steadily proven he is much more than a complementary piece. The strength of his game is his perimeter shooting. He is a confident and consistent outside shooter who stretches defenses and forces opponents to respect him beyond the arc. However, his offensive game extends beyond his shooting ability as he is capable of attacking closeouts, getting downhill, and finishing at the basket when defenders overplay his jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2373874' first='Casey' last='Sears'] (6'4/Wing/'28/Hewitt-Trussville)

IG: kingcasey_423

X: @kingcasey423

Casey enters the rankings at No. 35 after showing, throughout the spring, why he is one of the more physically imposing wings in the class. He has positional size and strength, and he consistently puts defenders in difficult situations with his downhill attacking mentality.

He is extremely effective off the bounce, where his combination of strength, balance, and body control allows him to absorb contact while still creating quality scoring opportunities. He understands how to use his frame to establish advantages, forcing defenders off balance and creating space to finish or get to his spots. His aggressive style of play makes him difficult to contain once he gets momentum attacking the basket.

There are plenty of fresh faces in the latest Alabama 2028 rankings update, and several prospects have officially announced themselves as players to watch. These newcomers have earned their spots through consistent production, strong offseason performances, and continued development. Here is a deeper look at the latest additions to the rankings.
