A multi-sport athlete for Springfield, Norvell Jr had a big impact in the championship win for Team Flyght. Norvell Jr played well off the catch as he could knock down set 3-pointers as well as attack closeouts with middle drives and finishes. Norvell Jr got low off the dribble when he attacked and was able to get into the paint consistently off the bounce. His on-ball defensive pressure also caused some turnovers where his team could score easily in transition.

The other guard who stood out on the Team Flyght squad, Devaughn was a ballhawk on defense as he intercepted at least four or five passes in this game with impressive instincts. Able to read where the opposing team was looking to pass the ball, Devaughn was one step ahead of the offense and jumping the routes like a cornerback. Impressive defensive performance that Devaughn was able to turn defense into offense to allow Team Flyght to erase an early deficit and win the 16 U championship.

An impressive performance from Caudill who has already started to make a splash at the varsity level for Xenia. Caudill ran the floor well, operated in the middle of the court from the free throw line area against the zone and showed off his athleticism in the open court. Nice scoring punch from the wing guard position for his team on Sunday.

A forward prospect with impressive physical tools, Harris flashed a lot of physical upside down the road when you consider his frame, height and strength. Harris had a powerful dunk for his team and altered a handful of shots in the paint. A big man who is at his best when he's around the rim, Harris is a prospect who should continue to improve over the next couple of years.

Daniels slashed aggressively to the rim from the wing position as he wanted to get downhill and use his quick first step and strong frame to finish through contact. With impressive change of pace on the ball, Daniels was tricky to stay in front of and found a lot of success when he was able to get to the basket off his right hand. Mr22 was rolling early in the game and Daniels slashing, cutting and overall activity levels were main reasons for the early advantage.

One of the more skilled guards I saw this weekend, Fleming played smart, made some nice passes and could knock down open shots for his team. Liking to use his left hand to make skip passes to other shooters, Fleming is a guard you cannot force one direction or the other to take away his playmaking ability. Maybe his best assist of the game came after Fleming split the defense with a dribble move before finding an open teammate under the rim. Granvile has consistently been near the top of the Licking County League for the past two seasons and with players like Fleming returning, I'd bet on them staying up there next season.

Bradley found ways to score off the basketball by relocating for set shots on the perimeter, cutting to the rim and leaking out in transition. Not requiring the ball in his hands to be productive, Bradley's movement opened up shots for himself and his teammates. Using his length well defensively, Bradley closed some passing windows with his long reach. In the closing moments Bradley had a crucial lefty layup finish as MR22 was attempting to erase a small deficit.
