Big Miller Team Camp gave us the first real look at how last season's championship programs are reloading for the summer. Bryant, Little Rock Central, Parkview, and Marion all hit the floor with new roles, new faces, and the same expectations that come with being at the top. This is the early read on the heavyweights as they opened their summer slate. Keep us updated on ALL prospects over on “X“ and “Instagram,” just tag @PrepHoops_AR & @VortexSportsArkansas.

Bryant Hornets

Bryant brings back a strong core from last year's 6A state championship run, headlined by a mix of proven guards and emerging frontcourt pieces. KD Hicks, Alteso Walker, [player_tooltip player_id='3072085' first='TJ' last='Cochran'], [player_tooltip player_id='2408293' first='Desmin' last='Hall'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3558528' first='Mason' last='Abrahamson'] give the Hornets experience, toughness, and continuity across all five spots. Hicks returns as the steady hand at point guard, Walker provides athleticism and scoring options, Cochran brings size and two-way presence, Hall adds versatility at the guard/wing on both ends, and Abrahamson stretches the floor with shooting and feel. Bryant enters next season with a few question marks, but the mindset and identity remain the same as last year's championship group being tough, staying connected, and built around effort, defense, and unselfish play. With key returners stepping into bigger roles, the Hornets still look like a team built to compete deep into the year.

Little Rock Central Tigers

Little Rock Central enters the summer as an early‑early 6A championship favorite, returning one of the toughest, most experienced lineups in the state. Tra'Jhin Aleem, [player_tooltip player_id='2434051' first='Gavyn' last='Holman'], [player_tooltip player_id='2373586' first='Brandon' last='Wright'], [player_tooltip player_id='2397908' first='Daylon' last='Thomas'], [player_tooltip player_id='2979205' first='Tre' last='Hope'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2882930' first='Jamie' last='Dunn'] all played major roles in last year's run to Hot Springs, and that continuity gives the Tigers a head start on everyone else. Central's guard core of Aleem, Hope, Holman, and Wright bring a mix of scoring, defense, and leadership that makes them dangerous every night. Thomas and Dunn are the low men who show physicality and skill near the rim or when slashing from the wing and dunker. With the pace and senior experience across the board, this group looks ready to chase another deep postseason run and keep the championship standard alive.

Parkview Patriots

After winning last season with a senior‑heavy roster, Parkview enters a new chapter. A wave of transfers has moved in looking to develop, compete, and grab newly available roles, giving the Patriots a completely refreshed identity and the state a brand‑new contender to worry about. New pieces like [player_tooltip player_id='2223809' first='Jamal' last='Holden'], [player_tooltip player_id='2401741' first='Zion' last='Jenkins'], [player_tooltip player_id='2484366' first='Aidan' last='Gill'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2885519' first='Kain' last='Hill'] have reshaped the roster. Holden, a highly ranked prospect, now steps into a season where he'll need to show and prove why his name carries weight. Gill brings a fast, shifty scoring punch, pairing well with Jenkins, the versatile wing. Add in young guard [player_tooltip player_id='2885519' first='Kain' last='Hill'], who's hungry for opportunity and ready to compete, and Parkview suddenly has a fresh core with upside.

Marion Patriots

Marion returns a dependable guard pairing in [player_tooltip player_id='2965554' first='Korbin' last='Littlejohn'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2514932' first='Karlyal' last='Hyland Jr']., both bringing toughness and two‑way value. Littlejohn is the stronger on‑ball presence, defending point of attack and organizing the offense, while Hyland thrives off the ball, cutting, spacing, and scoring in rhythm. Together, they give Marion a competitive, battle‑tested backcourt foundation. The Patriots also bring in several other names who will matter right away. [player_tooltip player_id='2885497' first='Liam' last='Henry'] brings real point‑guard feel, Gary Hayes adds athletic frontcourt pop, and Daevion Bailey gives them another quick playmaker. [player_tooltip player_id='3673612' first='Eian' last='Henderson'] shows two‑way upside, while Jaylon Ford provides athletic defense and energy. Marion has a balanced mix of experience, athleticism, and upside heading into the season.
