Small School Guards on The Rise in June

Whether creating offense, knocking down shots, or leading their teams on both ends of the floor, these guards continue to prove they belong in the conversation. Already known for his ability to shoot the ball his ability to unload the clip from beyond has been on full display in the Monroe Area High School summer league. He has multiple 20 point games and is averaging around 4 makes from beyond. The lefty has a quick trigger and high set point that allows him to shoot with little space and is hard to fully contest. Constantly playing under control and getting to his spots to score off the bounce while being able to absolutely torch a defense from long range. The combination of he and Luke Beaver (listed below) is one of the best hidden duos in Georgia. Hill should be turning heads of college coaches as the summer continues and as he walks into his senior campaign. If I am a small college basketball coach this is the guy I would want at the one or two for my program over the next four years. He is a program changing prospect who can score it efficiently on all 3 levels and is good for 20 to 25 points every game. Beaver is a guy who will light you up from beyond the arc with a quick release and his poise. He can also torch an interior defense with his ability to get to the rim. On the defensive end he has made big strides over the last year and can effect winning on that end. He is an athlete that can hang in the air to finish in the lane while also knowing how to play off two and score. That is a rare combination that you do not see very often out of athletic guards who play high above the rim. Binion sees the floor well as a lead guard and finds open teammates when his ability to get to the rim is taken away. On defense he is scrappy and uses his athleticism to cause problems for opposing players. The lefty has a lot of control in his game and can score it at an elite level that definitely transfers to the college level. He is aware of what modern basketball is and how its played and will excel in the era of high ball screens and hand offs basketball is currently in. His shot making ability is impressive, he makes a lot of tough contested buckets from beyond the arc and in the lane when getting to the cup. He is a true gamer who despite his lack of size is one of the most impactful players on the floor at any time.
