He finishes well under the basket and capitalizes in one-on-one situations during isolation plays. He exhibits good court awareness and physicality, preying on the offense's inability to operate under pressure in a half court setting. One of the more uptempo guards I have watched this summer, Vann controls the pace of the game well on offense and knows how to keep the momentum on his side due to his high IQ ballhandling and passing instincts.     [player_tooltip player_id='2555058' first='Hector' last='Durand'] transferred to EOP for this upcoming year from Langham Creek and instantly made me take notice this Saturday of his game. Hector is a versatile athlete who can shoot, defend, and handle the ball under pressure. Durand hustles for loose balls, fills his lane correctly on fastbreaks, and makes smart decisions with the rock. He can create his own shot over the defense due to his height and wingspan, and this allows him to score from all three levels.     2028 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2252155' first='Xavier' last='Williams'] handled the ball with poise under pressure, made tough shots through contact, and hustled with intensity. Physical perimeter defense and playing passing lanes effectively helped him lead easy transition opportunities for himself and his teammates. Any time he got to the free throw line, he knocked down his foul shots and moved to the next possession.     Jacob is a force in the paint that uses his wingspan and athleticism to finish over defenders and convert easy buckets. He can handle the ball like a guard, slash like a wing, and play defense on any position on the perimeter. Jacob impacts the game in many ways and shows a skillset that can translate to any position 1 through 5. Elloie is one of the most impressive players I have seen in the Houston 2029 class and continues to make strides.     Transferring from Cy Falls to Heights, Teron Watts made an immediate impact this weekend at the Rice Team Camp. Watts showcased impressive leaping ability and finished through contact multiple times around the basket as well as knocking down some deep shots when left space. A physical defender, he gets constant on ball steals and converts in transition on both ends. Watts is one of the reasons that Heights could be looked to as one of the top teams in Houston this year due to a deep backcourt and many skilled role player pieces.
