Rankings Update: Newcomers

PH NorCal has update the Class of 2027 Rankings. There are 40 new prospects to give us a total of 245 ranked players in this class. Our Watch List includes 97 prospects who can play their way onto the rankings. Here at PH NorCal we're always out and about looking for new prospects. Newcomers Part II.    He's an active wing/forward. He can play out on the perimeter, handle the ball a bit, a ball mover, reverses the ball, makes cuts to the basket. He runs hard to fill lanes in transition. He has lengthy arms, finds ways to score inside, and get his fair share of rebounds. He led his HS team in scoring 14.7, and rebounds 7.4, with 3 stls. He's a post passer from the high and low. He can operate along the wings, defend on the perimeter.     He's a strong athlete plays two sports (Football). He does a solid job of running the point guard position. He has speed pushing and passing in transition. He'll go coast to coast hard and strong if you don't cut him off, he puts pressure on defenses. He's an improving point guard, good handles, shows patience up top, moves the ball around the perimeter. He has strength, speed and burst to get into the paint for contact points, and assists. He hit a 3ptr. He has the foot speed to stick to ball handlers, trap up top.     He's had a breakout Spring, and looks to improve his overall his play. His activity in the post area on both sides of the ball got our attention. He's always in the mix, actively going after rebounds for putback points, tipping and tapping before hauling it in. He secure it, makes a good outlet pass to start the break. He has improving footwork to get points in the paint. Gives effort defending his position. His points and rebounding numbers will go up next season.     We saw him go for 30pts, drop 4-3's in a early Spring contest. He plays at a good pace, actively looking for his shot. He's listed as a combo guard, a willing passer, has decent handles, moves the ball around the perimeter, makes long passes up court. He doesn't hesitate putting up shots open shots, going hard to the basket, and pulling up for mid-range jumpers off the dribble. He averaged 23.4 pts, 5 rebs on his high school team.     Playing up tempo, fast pace worked well for Myers. He's active and alert. He runs wide sprinting to the corners, or perimeter shot ready. He moves his feet quick to run and jump defending and trapping. He can put the ball in the basket without wasting time, using 1 or 2 dribbles getting into his mid-range jumper, spots up for shot ready catch 3's along the perimeter, he'll use a burst to get into the paint.     He was a reserve, didn't play a lot on the Varsity last season (11 games). He's a key contributor in the Spring. He's does good things from both guard positions. A quality handler, steadies the offense up top, has excellent court vision finding mates cutting to the basket, delivering quality pass in transition, and on the inbounds. He has the tools to create off the dribble, get to his spots, has a set shot 3 that goes in.     He gives good effort on the court. An alert post defender, can change shots, he boxes out, averaged 7.3 rebs last season. He'll come up, switch to defend guards on the perimeter, moves his feet, has lateral movement. He hustles up court, gets wide on the low block, has a target hand, wants the ball to turn use a dribble or two, or pass it out. Averaged almost 10pts per game last season.     He showed signs with limited action last season. In the Spring he's starting and contributing on both sides of the ball. He's a speedy combo guard, with quick feet, lateral movement, he can sticks to ball handlers, plays denial off ball. He's an improving point guard, moves the ball, gets it to the right players in position to score. He has the speed and ability to attack off the dribble, he'll shoot open 3's on occasion.
