NW June D1 Event Primer: Lehi, Lewiston, Liberty

The next three teams to be previewed are all dealing with some sort of turnover from last season. While Lehi lost six of its top eight players, Liberty also lost a handful of key guys, including its top player and Seattle Pacific commit, Jackson Whitaker. Now, Lewiston doesn't have the same type of turnover as Lehi and Liberty. In fact, they return all but four players from last year's squad, but the key loss for them is last year's 5A State Player of the Year and LC State commit, Royce Fisher. Let's take a look at who could step up for each of these teams at the upcoming NW June D1 Recruiting Event.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Lehi (UT)</h3>   Classification: 6A   2025-26 Record: 11-14   Key Players   Tuk Howe 6-7 SF 2027   The Lehi big man isn't a very explosive or overly powerful player, but he has the length to bother attackers by the hoop, and does a great job getting up and down the floor and putting himself in good positions on both ends of the court. He's also a true floor spacer who can sink three after three if defenses leave him alone.   Ashton Shewell 6-4 SG 2027   Shewell will be one of the top players at the event and already holds offers from San Diego and Utah Tech. The 6-foot-4 guard has a really well-rounded skill set that allows him to play a controlled and balanced game. He shoots it well from different levels, has the strength and quick first step to be a downhill threat, and can pick out sneaky passes. Play just speeds up when he touches the ball, and he will make plays all over the floor.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Lewiston (ID)</h3>   Classification: 5A   2025-26 Record: 22-4   Key Players   Andrew Haines 6-5 SF 2027   Haines is a bigger kid who will play physical, set solid screens, rebound, and work hard baseline to baseline. He's going to be one of their key posts, and his motor, combined with his physicality, will be key in setting the tone in the paint.   Blaze Hepburn 6-2 SG 2027   Hepburn is going to be a key guy putting the ball in the hoop next season. He's got a good stroke out to three, but has also shown a nice runner he can go to just inside the paint. His touch from both distances forces defenders up and helps open up more space behind for him to attack.   Brady Rudolph 6-1 G 2027   Rudolph is another key returner along the perimeter who will handle the rock and create some penetration. He's a quick guard who can contribute on both ends, is willing to sacrifice his body, and will make little plays throughout the game.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Liberty (WA)</h3>   Classification: 3A   2025-26 Record: 21-7   Key Players   [player_tooltip player_id='2140863' first='Tyson' last='Burley'] 6-0 CG 2027   Burley is going to be their main guy this winter, and he's already shown some hints of that capability this spring and summer. He dropped a 40-point game at WIBCA's spring showcase in May and has been pretty consistent even from the winter season with his balance of scoring and facilitating. He's one of the top 3-point shooters in his class and will handle the rock a ton for them this next year.   Tate Tuininga 6-6 SF 2028   Tuininga didn't get a ton of varsity minutes last season, but he's an interesting player who has the height and shooting touch to be a sneaky player this winter. He's shown touch from each level and could really earn some minutes as a stretch four who can provide some length around the rim and pull opposing bigs out of the paint.   [player_tooltip player_id='2835727' first='Mason' last='Miller'] 6-5 SF 2028   Miller is another interesting wing who should start to have a bigger impact for the Patriots. He has the ability to stretch the floor like Tuininga, but is a more athletic player who can have a big impact finishing at the rim and rebounding on both ends. He's shown the flashes of making some highlight plays and will be a player they look at to make a leap this coming winter.
