NorCal 2027June Watch List

In an effort to see as many prospects as possible. Our PH NorCal June Watch List is of prospects we'll be taking a closer look at in June while playing with their high school team.    One of the top prospects in the Valley Oak League. He averaged 17pts, first team All-League as a Junior. He's a 3 sports athlete. He's a do it all type of player on the court. He has the tools to generate buckets in a variety of ways. He's quick off the dribble to create, always moving along the perimeter,comes up hard, shot ready, squares up for 3's. He plays at a good pace. He's active on defense, runs the court in transition, help rebound.     A wiry prospect, still growing. He was a contributor, one of the first off the bench. A long arm defender, lateral movement, can stick with smaller ball handling guards, use his lengthy arms to disrupt passing lanes, and distract shooters, defends multiple positions, he'll take a charge. He sets up high post as a passer/screener, moves along the perimeter as a passer, and a slasher.     He had a good Spring with plenty of court time sharpening his overall guard skills. He spent time up top running the point guard position. He's an improving ball handler, moves the ball, had good passing around the perimeter. He has footspeed, and quick dribbles, crossovers, and other ways to attack the basket, or make the pass. He has good speed on both ends of the court. He'll square up for 3's.     He's an experienced 3 year Varsity player, plays a role coming off the bench. Probably a combo guard, but does well handling the ball up top, moving the ball around the perimeter, pushing in transition. He's a good on ball defender, picks up full court, moves his feet, lateral movement, helps with the trap up top.     A contributor on a team that played in the CIF SJS DIII Championship Game. Starting or coming off the bench he's a reliable point guard with good ball movement around the perimeter, his ball reversal and looks to feed the post probably makes him a pass first point guard. He can get into the paint, plays off two feet, then spots his open shooters, or cutters. He's a help defender, positions himself well, works to stay in front, lateral movement.     He's a fast point guard, sees the court, uses his speed and quick dribbles in transition, passes early to stay out of traps. His handles are decent, he can attack from the perimeter, get into the paint, for spin moves and paint jumpers, stands shot ready for 3's. He has the speed to hound ball handlers bringing the ball up court, helps trap in full court.     He's 6'4 with good activity in the paint on both sides. He's a post defender, lengthy arms, moves well. He gives good effort going after rebounds. He's not a scorer, but did find ways to score inside, short jumpers, goes up strong off two feet in traffic. He'll get more shot opportunities going forward. Runs the court.
