<p>The MAYB Wichita, KS Summer Kickoff is going on the first couple of weeks of June, and it did not lack for school team entries. The Wichita Sports Forum and The Wichita Edge facility were packed on every inch of the floor with teams looking to get their summer run in. There were so many teams that I decided to check out the first game that really caught my attention with talent and tough competition. That game just so happened to be later in the afternoon, featuring a couple of 3A/5A teams that really brought the heat in this run. The game I witnessed was between the KS-Hesston Swathers vs. the KS-Holcomb 1 Longhorns. The Swathers were pretty dominant throughout this tournament, going 7-1 at the time of this article and looking to go 8-1 by the end of this weekend. The Longhorns had their hands full, but gave a good effort despite having only 1 win in the tournament run so far. The Final score of the match was 47-33, with Swathers taking the win, but the game was very back-and-forth throughout. The size of the Swathers was the main caveat that tipped the scales in this one. <p class="text-gray-700">#34, A Big with good hands and good foot coordination. Leading scorer on Hesston in this game with 21 points, and dominated the paint area. Made the game look easy and can dribble the ball with purpose and not for show. </p>
