Friday Nights Top Performers at Hoopseens High School Finale

Friday night's action at the HoopSeen High School Finale featured plenty of standout individual performances as prospects from across the state of Georgia wasted no time making an impression. Here are the players who elevated their stock and stood out the most during an action packed opening night.    Pugh is a crafty shot creator who excels creating looks in the midrange, using his length and ability to elevate over defenders to knock down difficult jumpers. He is also a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc who can get hot in a hurry, providing the kind of offensive spark that can completely shift a game's momentum. Pugh impacts the game in more ways than just scoring, as he is a high-motor rebounder on both ends of the floor who consistently boxes out and rips down tough boards to ignite transition opportunities. He finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds in a hard fought loss to Berkmar.. His scoring versatility, and willingness to do the dirty work makes him one of the more intriguing wings in the class of 2027. Pugh is a prospect college coaches should be all over as he heads into the next year of his development.     Erb is a physical slashing wing who has the versatility to play both on the wing and in the post. He does a great job getting to the rim off the bounce and finishing through contact, and I was especially impressed with the poise he showed against Pelham's physical interior defense. He never looked rushed, played with a lot of patience, and consistently picked the right moments to attack his spots. Erb put together two highly productive performances over the weekend, opening with an 18-point outing before following it up with 14 points in a convincing win over Calvary Day. His ability to score in a variety of ways and embrace physical play makes him a valuable offensive weapon. Mohn crafty scoring guard that also does a lot of the dirty work that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet. He's a confident scorer with the ball in his hands, using his athleticism and fast change of direction to slice to the rim and score inside around the rim. He's also got the ability to create for himself around the perimeter off the dribble, knocking down a variety of step backs, side steps, and pull back threes. Valuable off the ball as well, screening and cutting to get open looks around the rim. He finished a win over Winder-Barrow with 22 points. His versatility on the offensive end makes him a prospect college coaches have already jumped on as he holds a few college offers.     Maye is a combo guard that can run the point and lead an offense when the ball is in his hand. He does a good job of orchestrating offense and providing easy looks for his squad. Off the ball he is an extremely valuable floor spacer who can light you up from beyond the arc in a hurry. I say multiple scenarios where he hit multiple threes on consecutive possessions giving his team a jolt of offense when it was needed. He was huge down the stretch in a signature win over Johns Creek finishing with 14 points. In game one he scored 15 while knocking down three from beyond the arc. A valuable scoring combo guard that should turn heads going into his senior year.
