One of the more supremely talented players in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='2523901' first='Halbert' last='Jackson'] can do it all. A top-tier athlete that can throw down with ease (as pictured in the photo gallery from the weekend), Jackson could score basically anytime he got his hands on the rock if he wanted to. If it's putting the ball on the floor and beating everyone to the rim, he could do that, or if it's backing down a defender, of whom he has the physical size advantage over, he could do that, too.

Throw in his ability to shoot the rock from the outside and the way he sees the floor, and that makes him an even more difficult cover. Jackson's ceiling is among the highest in the state of Iowa, should he continue to work in the intricacies of his game.

A guard that can double as a wing -- especially with Washington's two other guards they have available -- [player_tooltip player_id='2396064' first='William' last='Rahe'] can be trusted to play on or off ball for the Warriors.

With a strong handle that allows him to put the ball on the deck and go at defenders with regularity, tiring them out in the process and wearing them down until he gets what he wants -- a bucket at the rim. A lefty, Rahe can finish at both sides of the rim. The type of player that will do whatever he needs to in order to help his team win, too, Rahe is an effort defender that will close out on three-pointers and get his hands up, plus box out and fight for rebounds with strong hands. That, and heruns the floor well, possessing ball skills he must have snagged from playing football this last year to go up and get passes before layups.

A player that's relatively new on my radar, the more I've seen of Rahe, the more I've liked him.

A multi-sport athlete that we've recently spotlighted on Prep Redzone Iowa for receiving an offer from Drake, [player_tooltip player_id='3620754' first='Neil' last='James'] can do it on the court, too, for Iowa City West.

One of the best athletes in the gym over the weekend, James showed off explosion and hand-eye coordination that, despite not having the most polished basketball skillset in Mt. Vernon, made him one of the better players there, too.

A player that could go up and swat layup attempts, would fight for rebounds and sky up amongst the trees to grab them, and follow shots on the offensive glass for put-backs, James was relentless. On the defensive side of the ball, if he grabbed a rebound or snagged a turnover, he'd immediately look up the court to find a teammate in transition. James wasn't the primary ball-handler for the Trojans for a reason, but if he were to determine that he wanted to play basketball at the next level, there is a vision there, especially if he continues to develop his handle.

Set to transfer from Waterloo West to Columbus Catholic for his senior year, [player_tooltip player_id='2420800' first='Zion' last='Cook-Berns'] made his debut with the Sailors over the weekend.

If his play is any indication of what things will look like this season, Columbus may have gotten their new lead ball-handler, scorer and playmaker.

A combo guard that can do a little bit of everything, Cook-Berns put it all on display against Western Dubuque. Grabbing rebounds and going coast-to-coast to finish on a Euro-step, in attack mode and creating space on baseline step backs to know down a jumper, manipulating the pick-and-roll, nailing open three-pointers and more. The senior-to-be appears to have been handed over the navigation of the ship for the Sailors.

A young guard that appears to be on the rise for Crestwood, [player_tooltip player_id='2386373' first='Drake' last='Sir'] started 23 of 24 games last season for the Cadets, finishing as their second-leading scorer at 13.8 points per contest.

Seeing him play for the first time over the weekend, one can easily recognize how he was able to score as well as he did during his sophomore campaign. A sharp-shooter who drilled over 40% of his threes last year, Sir handled pressure well from opposing defenses, even showing the ability to swing through, pull up and bang a three from the corner against Washington. Able to step into threes off-the-dribble, too, Sir may be one of the top shooters in 2A next year if he keeps it up at a higher clip.
