The eighth annual @PrepHoopsTN Combine featured ambitious, young hoopers, aged 15-17 years old. For the rest of the summer, we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day, May 31st, 2026. This was the first time the event took place inside Notre Dame High School (Chattanooga). To be precise these campers attended the PrepHoopsTN EAST camp.

Henrik Guenther Henrik Guenther 5'10" | PG Lookout Valley | 2029 TN | PG | Lookout Valley | 2029

How did he measure against the competition?

Class of 2029
5'10" PG
3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.71, 3.79
Lane Agility -- 12.25, 12.11
Hand Height -- 7.25"
Hand Span -- 9.0"
Wingspan -- 6'0"
Camp Ranking -- #36

Henrik will want to bulk up and become more willing to initiate contact. He can shoot, but finishing in the lane is imperative as he matures physically. Good, broad shoulders. Increasing foot speed is imperative (12.11 lane agility). Guenter projects as a point guard. His skills will develop at both guard positions within his high school program, but point guard will be the target if he intends to play beyond high school. Nice wide hands (9.0" handspan).

How did he measure against the competition?

Class of 2028

3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.42, 3.35
Lane Agility -- 12.71, 12.23
Hand Height -- 8.0"
Hand Span -- 8.0"
Wingspan -- 6'3.5"
PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
Camp Ranking -- #16

Can play either guard spot. Small played with full effort throughout the entire event. More shifty with his handle and bigger strides than a year ago. He creates space by altering speeds and direction. Chris continues to improve. Steady improvement. He is strong physically than he was a year ago. He maintains a tight handle. Creative dribbler. If his team needs him to, Chris can be a catch-and-shoot option. Projects as a small college lead guard.

Amari Martin Amari Martin Amari Martin 6'0" | SG/CG Notre Dame | 2028 State TN | SG | Notre Dame | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?

Class of 2028
6'0" PG/SG
3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.50, 3.84
Lane Agility -- 12.35, 12.60
Hand Height -- 7.5"
Hand Span -- 8.0"
Wingspan -- 6'0"
PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
Camp Ranking -- #18
State Ranking -- Top 150

High character. More investment as a help defender is warranted. Though Martin fancies himself a point guard he might play most of his high school career as the second ball-handler on the floor. Strong shoulders. The limiting factor is going to be "change of direction." For a guard Amari's Lane Agility times were uninspiring (12.35 seconds, 12.60 seconds). Handle is good and touch in the mid-range is better than average.

Yoda McGill Yoda McGill Yoda McGill 5'10" | PG/SG McCallie | 2029 TN | PG | McCallie | 2029

How did he measure against the competition?

Speedy. Keeps defenders off kilter. Yoda McGill Yoda McGill Yoda McGill 5'10" | PG/SG McCallie | 2029 TN played the role of an escape artist, cleverly dribbling out of trouble even in the All-Star Game. McGill did go on to earn All-Star Game MVP honors. Slung a flashy crosscourt pass "between the numbers" for an open corner three-pointer during that game. Exceptional endurance. When almost all other campers were wilting McGill played as quickly and efficiecntly as ever. Defensively, Yoda tended to lean on his quick hands to startle. They are very quick, disruptive hands. Yoda and Jaxson Gonzalez Jaxson Gonzalez 6'0" | PG McMinn County | 2027 State TN paired well together in the All-Star Game. Together they sped up the game without sacrificing ball security.

Brandon Lyons Brandon Lyons Brandon Lyons 5'10" | PG Tyner Academy | 2028 TN | PG | Tyner Academy | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?
Class of 2028
5'10" PG
3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.22, 3.16
Lane Agility -- 11.76, 11.48
Hand Height -- 8.0"
Hand Span -- 8.5"
Wingspan -- 5'11"
Camp Ranking -- #29
State Ranking -- Top 250

Very fast. Can handle. Outside shooting is, pardon the put, hit or miss. Establishing the jumper will enable Brandon to attack more effectively with his wonderful speed and agility because defenders will be forced to guard both. Athletically, Lyons' best showing came in the sprint. His 3.16 seconds was the third-best all day.

Jerry Hayes III Jerry Hayes III 5'11" | PG Chattanooga Prep | 2030 TN | PG | Chattanooga Prep | 2030

How did he measure against the competition?
Class of 2030
5'11" PG
3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.22, 3.15
Lane Agility -- 11.51, 11.19
Hand Height -- 8.0"
Hand Span -- 8.5"
Wingspan -- 6'0"
Camp Ranking -- #20
State Ranking -- Top 100

Needs to be more confident with his shoulders and body when creating space in the mid-range. Talented player. Was a little timid against the older campers, which is typical. Jerry's handle was among the best in the building. Just missed the All-Star Game. His skills are ahead of most Class of 2030 guards. Hayes III registered a promising time in the Lane Agility (11.19 seconds). Getting under 11 seconds seems feasible for the young guard. Very, very fast!

Tony Burton Jr. Tony Burton Jr. Tony Burton Jr. 5'11" | PG McCallie | 2028 State TN | PG | McCallie | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?
Class of 2028
5'10" PG
3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.41, 3.81
Lane Agility -- 10.86, 10.50
Hand Height -- 8.0"
Hand Span -- 9.75"
Wingspan -- 6'2"
PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
Camp Ranking -- #10
State Ranking -- Top 110

This was Tony's second All-Star nod. Extreme jumping ability. Quick feet. Most dangerous in the open floor. In the halfcourt his offensive awareness got a little muddy. Burton Jr. plays multiple sports at the high school level. Truly an impressive athlete. Tough rebounding guard. Burton Jr. was a difficult player to defend in transition. Burton Jr. recorded the fourth fastest sprint time of the day. The best Lane Agility time (10.50 seconds). That ranks in the Top 10 All-Time from PrepHoopsTN events behind guys like Jasen Brooks and Rodney Henderson III.
