Standing 6-foot-8 with a rapidly expanding skill set, he presents matchup problems that few opponents have answers for. What makes him special is his ability to impact the game from all three levels. He can score around the basket, stretch the floor with perimeter shooting, and create offense off the dribble. His versatility allows him to play multiple positions and punish defenders in a variety of ways. Even more impressive is his consistency. He has become a double-double machine, routinely stuffing the stat sheet with points, rebounds, and winning plays.

Traesyn Harvey (5'11/PG/'27/Saraland)

While Williams may be the headliner, Traesyn is the engine that keeps Saraland running. The veteran point guard has been instrumental in the Spartans' rise to prominence and has helped lead the program to 50 wins and a Final Four appearance over the last two seasons. His leadership, decision-making, and understanding of the game make him one of the most valuable players on the roster. His ability to control pace, organize the offense, and make winning plays cannot be overstated.

KJ Brady (6'2/CG/2027/Saraland)

KJ gives the Spartans another dangerous weapon in the backcourt. The talented combo guard brings versatility and flexibility to Saraland's lineup. Whether playing on or off the ball, he has the skill set to impact the game as both a scorer and playmaker. His ability to create offense, stretch defenses, and contribute on both ends of the floor provides valuable balance to the Spartans' attack. With defenses often focused on slowing down LJ, KJ's ability to capitalize on opportunities makes him a key piece of Saraland's success.

Key Role Players to Watch:

Timarrius “Primo” Jennings (G/'29/Saraland)

One of the most exciting young prospects in the program is Timarrius. The talented 2029 guard possesses a bright future and continues to generate buzz as one of the next players poised to emerge within the Saraland program. As the nephew of Alabama basketball legend Kennedy Winston, the basketball bloodlines are evident. Timarrius is known for his work ethic, commitment to improvement, and competitive nature. While he is still early in his development, the potential is undeniable. His future appears extremely bright, and many believe college basketball could eventually be in his future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2732863' first='Caedon' last='Warren'] (5'9/PG/2027/Saraland)

Every successful team needs dependable veterans, and Caedon fills that role for the Spartans. He is a returning starter and respected leader, and provides valuable experience and stability. His understanding of the system and ability to contribute in key moments gives Saraland another reliable option in the backcourt. His leadership and willingness to embrace his role make him an important part of the team's continued success.

What Should We Expect From Saraland During The Month of June:

Expect a team that knows how to win. The Spartans return three starters from a Final Four squad and bring back one of the most dominant young stars in Alabama basketball. Their blend of experience, talent, chemistry, and confidence should make them one of the state's most formidable teams throughout the summer. Opponents will undoubtedly focus their game plans around slowing down LJ, but Saraland's strength lies in more than just one player. The Spartans feature multiple playmakers, experienced guards, and a roster that understands what it takes to compete at a high level. This summer will also provide an opportunity for Saraland to prepare for one of the biggest stages in program history. The Spartans have been invited to compete in the prestigious Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions in Illinois over Thanksgiving, an event that has featured 68 future NBA players over the past two decades. That invitation serves as another reminder of how far the program has come and how much respect Saraland is beginning to earn on a regional and national level.

What Coach Dru Powell Is Looking To See From His Team During The Month of June:

Despite all the accolades and expectations, Coach Dru Powell's focus remains simple. He wants his team to enjoy competing together while continuing to strengthen the chemistry that fueled last season's historic run. June is about growth, connection, and laying the foundation for another successful season. The Spartans already have the talent. Now the focus shifts to becoming an even more connected team. If Saraland accomplishes that goal, don't be surprised if this group adds another memorable chapter to what is quickly becoming one of Alabama's premier basketball programs.

Here Is Where You Can Check Out Saraland High School During The Month of June:

Alabama Team Camp: June 16

Saraland HS Playdates: June 10, 17, 19

AHSAA Live Period: June 12
