We’ve Got Next: Sunday Stars

From guards shooting the lights out to bigs dominating the paint, several players made strong statements with their performances. Around the rim, he was automatic. Even against bigger defenders, he did a great job using his body to create space and finish through contact. His polished footwork in the paint was a huge key to his success. Jeremiah also showed strong court vision, consistently kicking the ball out to open shooters when defenses collapsed on him in the post. He got it done offensively with both his shooting and playmaking. Against Columbus Blueprint, Tayte was elite in catch-and-shoot situations, knocking down five threes, with four of them coming in the second half. He also showed great feel as a passer, finding teammates on backdoor cuts whenever the defense overplayed. He is a true three-level scorer who does an excellent job getting to his spots. Against Team Goose, Louie played aggressively and always seemed to come through with a bucket when his team needed it most. He carried that same energy into the 14U championship against Cincinnati Rockerz Elite. Louie was crafty around the rim, knocked down shots from deep, and made his presence felt defensively as well. His basketball IQ immediately stands out when watching him play. Tommy consistently found ways to score easy baskets in transition and on backdoor cuts. On the offensive glass, he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, creating valuable second-chance opportunities for his team. Defensively, he was relentless and constantly disrupted the opposing offense. Whether he was diving for loose balls, grabbing offensive rebounds, or finishing contested layups, Cooper consistently made hustle plays that impacted the game. He is a high-IQ, scrappy playmaker who does all the little things needed to win.
