Sweet 16 Friday Night Standouts

Here are a few standouts from Friday Nights action in the first live period weekend of the year. These guys have a lot of upside and their names will become more and more familiar as the summer continues.    Crumedy is a super athletic, long framed wing who can really shoot it from deep at a high level. His combination of length and explosiveness makes him a difficult matchup, especially in transition where he consistently gets out ahead of defenses and finishes above the rim in a variety of ways. He plays with great energy and brings constant pressure with his ability to run the floor and attack open space. Defensively, he's a high motor competitor who impacts the game with rebounding, deflections, and steals. He flies around making hustle plays and uses his athleticism to disrupt opposing offenses. With his two way activity level and upside, he's the type of wing that can influence winning in a lot of different ways.     Falhoun is a quick, high energy guard who excels at getting downhill and putting pressure on defenses. He attacks the lane aggressively, does a great job drawing contact, and consistently creates tough situations for defenders once he gets into the paint. In the open floor, his speed and pace make him a difficult matchup, especially in transition where he can quickly turn defense into offense. Falhoun also shows good vision as a passer, making smart reads and creating opportunities for teammates. His combination of size, quickness, and energy allows him to impact the game in multiple ways at the point guard position.     is a downhill slasher with a tight handle and a fearless approach to the game. He plays with a true scorer's mentality, constantly attacking the paint and finishing well above the rim with athleticism and power. His aggressiveness puts a lot of pressure on defenses, and he does a great job drawing contact and getting himself to the free throw line. Beyond scoring, he competes extremely hard on both ends of the floor, creating extra possessions with offensive rebounds and using his explosiveness defensively to alter and block shots. His motor and physicality stand out every time he's on the court. As his perimeter shot continues to develop, he has the potential to become a highly efficient three-level scorer capable of hurting defenses in a variety of ways.     A high flying wing who can absolutely punish the rim once he gets a full head of steam. He's a nightmare in transition, constantly putting pressure on defenses and finishing through contact, highlighted by several big-time and-one plays that helped keep his team in a tight battle. His explosiveness and ability to play above the rim make him a constant threat attacking downhill. The outside shot is continuing to come along as well, as he's shooting with more confidence and becoming more willing to let it fly from deep. That added dimension is opening up even more opportunities for him offensively. With his athleticism, energy, and developing skill set, he projects as a player who can make an impact at the next level in a variety of ways.     Anacreon is good sized wing with a versatile offensive game and plenty of tools in the bag. He can really shoot it from deep, featuring a quick trigger, ready hands, and balanced footwork that allow him to get shots off efficiently. He's more than just a perimeter threat too, showing the ability to score inside by using head fakes and smart moves to create angles and finish around the rim. His athleticism gives him added value on both ends of the floor and raises his long-term upside. He plays with confidence and continues to expand his game each time out. Definitely a stock-rising prospect who should be earning a lot more recognition this spring.
