PH Iowa Open: Tony's Top 17U Wings and Bigs

Younis is a really exciting wing prospect with eye-popping athleticism, good instincts on the defensive end, and great length. His big wingspan allows him to create all sorts of chaos on the defensive end, and he's a terror when he's out in transition with his ability to finish with authority. His offensive game in the halfcourt setting is still a work in progress, but when he gets his defender on his hip, he's tough to keep out of the paint.     Playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2836718' first='Team' last='Step'], Coleman is an extremely intriguing blend of size, length, and athleticism. He looks like a player who can play at the next level physically, and if the production starts to catch up with the raw talent and ability, the ceiling for him is pretty high. He showed flashes of real ability around the rim and attacking off the dribble, and he competes on the glass on both ends of the floor. The next step for him is going to be finding consistency and continuing to develop his all-around skill set. There is a lot of potential here.     Burke, playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2626519' first='Drive' last='Pro Select'] for the weekend, was fantastic against Waukee JAM CR on Saturday afternoon, showcasing his ability to impact the game in a major way on both ends of the floor with his blend of size, length, and athleticism. He was great throughout, but he had a four possession stretch in the second half in which he fired a pinpoint pass from the left block out to the right wing for an open 3, followed by a dunk on the next possession, a block after rotating over defensively, another block, and then capped it off with a beautiful drive and finish plus the foul from the top of the key. He's still a bit raw offensively, but he is absolutely oozing with potential.     Basurto, a 2028 prospect, was playing up with [program_tooltip program_id='2626519' first='Drive' last='Pro Select']'s 17U team throughout the weekend and was a bulldog on Saturday afternoon against Waukee JAM CR. A tough, physical 6-4 forward with great hands, he's fantastic on the glass on both ends of the floor. He has a real nose for the ball, makes strong contact on his box outs, and isn't afraid to tussle it up with bigger bodies. He showed that he can step out and stretch the floor, looking comfortable from the 3-point line off the catch.     Another 2028 playing up this weekend, Evans was playing with Waukee JAM CR and made an impact for them on both ends. The lefty was particularly strong in pick-and-roll actions, rolling hard to the rim for finishes. He keeps the ball high on the catch and has soft touch around the rim. He also showed a face-up game, attacking an off-balanced closeout with a quick first step and a nice drive to the rim for a bucket.     Playing with NEXT Level's second team, Carman flashed some real potential against Drive Pro Purple. He's a long, athletic 6-5/6-6 forward with good length that he uses to impact the game on the defensive end and compete on the glass. He showed a nice mid-range jumper, knocking down a few baseline jumpers, and flashed some impressive vision when operating in the high post area.
