King of Prussia, PA — The second session of the Nike Jr. EYBL Northeast Region came to a close this weekend with ten teams from the 7th-grade division securing a berth to Nike Peach Jam in July. The session also showcased plenty of impactful frontcourt prospects who stood out with their size, physicality, rebounding ability, interior scoring, rim protection, and overall production on both ends of the floor against strong competition. In this segment of our coverage, we take a closer look at some of the top frontcourt performers in attendance…

Markei Beasley made a strong impact at the Jr. EYBL Northeast Session 2 with his low-post production and interior presence on both ends of the floor. He finished efficiently around the rim, consistently produced in the paint, and did a very good job protecting the basket defensively. Beasley's physicality, activity level, and steady frontcourt production stood out throughout the event.

Steffan “Sonny” Bumpers showcased a well-rounded and versatile game at the Jr. EYBL Northeast Session 2 with the way he contributed on both ends of the floor. Even though he may not project long term as a traditional post player, his current frame and strength allow him to be highly effective around the basket at this stage. Bumpers brought interior production, competed defensively, and displayed a refined overall skill set that helped him impact the game in multiple ways.

Isaiah Freeman is another prospect at the Jr. EYBL Northeast Session 2 who may not ultimately project as a full-time frontcourt player, but his size and activity around the rim currently allow him to impact the game effectively inside. He consistently made plays near the basket while also showcasing a polished scoring package from the midrange area to the rim. Freeman's combination of touch, size, and offensive skill set helped him stand out throughout the session.

Yala Obuya brought a major size advantage at the Jr. EYBL Northeast Session 2 with the way he consistently controlled space around the basket. He finished strong above the rim and was extremely difficult to slow down in the paint because of his size and physical presence. Obuya's ability to impose himself inside gave his team strong interior production throughout the showcase.

Miles Ojakovo brought a strong physical presence to the low post at the Jr. EYBL Northeast Session 2 with the way he consistently finished through contact around the rim.
