Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some New Names of Class of 2028 shooting guards/wings from last weekend's Show Me Showdown in Chesterfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='2726890' first='Zavien' last='Truss'] ([program_tooltip program_id='3625434' first='Family' last='First']: A 6'1" guard from Battle who was one of the most physical backcourt players that I watched during the weekend. He used that muscular body of his to get into the lane and score on power drives to the basket. He also had a nice touch on the floater and he could hit the 3-pointer off the catch. He is also a tough defender who can guard multiple positions with his strength and athleticism.

TJ Mahone (Rise & Reign): A 6'0" guard from Fort Zumwalt North who displayed a very nice offensive bag. He knew how to keep defenders on his hip as he got into the lane to hit the mid-range jumper. He also elevated well on the jumper over taller defenders. He was also very effective when he was slicing and dicing into the lane to get buckets at a variety of angles. He was constantly on the attack and putting the pressure on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='3570214' first='Tyren' last='May'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2210626' first='Mavericks' last='Basketball Center']): A 6'3" guard from Mehlville who has good athleticism and positional size. He is a smooth lefty who scored numerous times of slashing drives in the half-court game and good open court attacks in transition. He is a physical player who was willing to draw contact. He is also a strong rebounder and a solid defender.

Levi Lentz (COMO-TNT 17U); A small school shooting guard from Green Ridge who was playing up a level and doing a very solid job. He was providing some reliable perimeter shooting from 3-point range. He was constantly moving and finding open spots for perimeter shots of layups of his cuts.

[player_tooltip player_id='3590549' first='Brandon' last='Ishmon']: (OCYM Holy Hoops 17U): A 6'0" guard from McKinley Classical who has good quickness and who plays with very good activity. He has good defensive instincts as he made good rotations for steals. On offense, he elevates well on his pull up jumper and he can hit 3-pointers when he had the time and space off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='3580691' first='Cameron' last='Fredericks'] (Rise & Reign): A 5'9" shooting guard who is the size of a point guard, but plays off the ball most of the time. He can really stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting, which opens the floor for his slashing teammates.

Hayden McFall (OCYM Holy Hoops 17U): A small school guard from Oak Ridge in the SEMO area who is an excellent slashing threat on the drive. He was good in the open court and he could weave in and out of traffic to score in the lane with good body control.
