DMV Live: Florida Under the Radar Prospects (Part 2)

College coaches at all levels were on the road throughout the country this weekend for the May evaluation period, and many made their way to Baltimore for DMV Live. Several of Florida's top travel programs were in attendance as well, giving prospects another opportunity to perform in front of college staffs from every level. Here is a look at some under the radar prospects that stood out from the action at DMV Live.    Varsakis is a tough, smart guard who can effectively play both on and off the ball for Ball By Design. He possesses a high basketball IQ and consistently makes the right reads within the flow of the offense. A capable perimeter shot maker, Varsakis spaces the floor well while also bringing value with his decision making and feel for the game. Defensively, he competes with toughness and energy, and he consistently finds ways to make winning plays that impact the outcome of games.     Martin continued his strong spring play with another productive showing for [program_tooltip program_id='2863450' first='Tre' last='Mann Elite'] in Baltimore. Active around the rim and consistently competing with energy, he impacted the game with his motor and activity level on both ends of the floor. Martin also showed the ability to step out and knock down open jumpers from beyond the arc, adding versatility to his offensive skill set. An above average athlete who plays with a high motor, Martin will be a popular name with college coaches this summer.     Gonzalez is a skilled perimeter shot maker who consistently scores from both beyond the arc and the midrange off the dribble. Possessing good quickness and a high basketball IQ, he does an excellent job creating space for his jumper and making smart decisions with the basketball. Gonzalez averaged 13 points per game for the Cowboys this season.     Henry came off the bench to score 10 second-half points for Ball By Design in a win over Team Melo while showcasing his intriguing upside as a young prospect. The sophomore possesses good length and high level athleticism, allowing him to impact the game in multiple ways on both ends of the floor. He showed the ability to knock down open perimeter shots from beyond the arc and brought strong activity and energy at the defensive end. With his athletic tools, developing perimeter skill, and defensive potential, Henry is a prospect worth tracking closely moving forward.     Connors is a promising prospect in the 2029 class who continued to impress with a 12 point performance against Team Melo. A skilled forward with inside/outside scoring ability, he can knock down shots from beyond the arc while also impacting the game around the basket. Connors is comfortable operating on the perimeter and handling the basketball for his size, giving him valuable versatility offensively. He also flashed capable passing ability and a strong feel for the game, consistently making smart plays within the flow of the offense. His combination of skill, size, and basketball IQ makes him an intriguing long term prospect.
