He's a shifty player who has the scoring prowess of a guard and the rebounding skills of a forward. EJ demonstrated his scoring ability by attacking defenders off the dribble and knocking down perimeter jump-shots. He was able to convert multiple threes and a variety of tough shots throughout the game. As I said, he's an excellent rebounder who often grabbed offensive boards and scored around the basket. The defensive rebounds he grabbed led to numerous outlet passes and fast-break starters. EJ showed the ability to finish strong in transition when he had scoring opportunities. Defensively, he showed quick hands by poking at offensive players and forcing turnovers. EJ is a promising player who has a bright future in the game of basketball.

He was an unstoppable force in the paint Saturday afternoon. Jed often converted three-point play opportunities through contact. He used a variety of post moves to be effective in the paint. Whether it was pump-fakes, ball-fakes or floaters around the basket, Jed was a scoring threat anytime he touched the ball. He's an athletic player who runs the floor, handles the ball, scores in transition and knocks down mid-range jumpers. Defensively, he showed his versatility by defending Legacy Ice Gold 8th players in the post and on the perimeter. Jed excelled at protecting the paint from opposing players who attacked the basket. He blocked a shot and had a couple of steals. Jed's an excellent player who will be a force in the game of basketball.

Tre's play on the court exemplified how a player should give their all for the team. After watching him play, I grew an appreciation for the effort he gave on offense and defense. Tre excelled at attacking the basket. This led to him scoring a majority of his points off dribble drives. He's an excellent shooter who showed the capability of knocking down mid-range shots despite being closely guarded by opponents. Tre showed a knack for scoring tough baskets in the paint. On some occasions, he was able to convert three-point plays from the foul-line. When he had the opportunity to knock down threes, Tre shot the ball with extreme confidence. His enthusiasm instantly energized his teammates. Defensively, Tre was all over the court making plays. He took charges, forced numerous turnovers and caused havoc on the opposing team.

Ashton continues to be an excellent perimeter shooter. The last time I watched him play was during the AAU season a summer ago. He's now an eighth grader. Ashton has grown a couple of inches since that time. He added a dribble drive game to go along with his shooting ability. He's a great ball handler who showed a knack for making plays. Ashton is also a great assists man. The majority of his passes led to high percentage shots for his teammates. As I said before, this young man is a shooter! Ashton knocked down shots in a flashy way. He used a variety of moves to free himself for clean looks at the basket. I appreciate the confidence he showed on the basketball court. When he made big shots, the energy he showed injected life into his teammates. Ashton has unlimited range and it showed in the match-up against Legacy Ice Attack. I look forward to seeing how much he progresses as he transitions into high school next season.

Pierre is a player who's skilled in every offensive and defensive category. He's the kind of player who does all the hustle work for Showtime Elite 14u. Whether it's scoring, assisting, rebounding or defending, Pierre always managed to make positive plays for the team. He's a great rebounder who attacked the glass on both ends of the court. Offensively, he scored in the paint with a variety of crafty moves. He also knocked down shots from mid-range and finished in transition. In some instances, Pierre was able to extend his shooting range beyond the three-point line. On defense, he was physical with the opposition. He guarded them close, poked at the ball and blocked a couple of shots. Pierre is the type of player every coach loves to have. Someone who does whatever it takes to make the team successful.

The talent was on full display over the weekend for these young players. All the athletes on this list were a perfect representation of what All Tournament players look like.
