Great Lakes Finals: More Skilled Scorers and Facilitators

In this article, I feature five more players who made their presence felt on Saturday at the Prep Hoops Great Lakes Finals with their scoring ability and court vision.   Nico Rosado - Illinois Force (17U) - Nico Rosado has the ability to get downhill and make difficult finishes. He also knows how to get it done from the perimeter and is capable of knocking down a couple of three-pointers in any given game. When it comes to his defense, he plays with good energy and stays locked in, making him a valuable piece for his team. Look for him to continue to make noise with Illinois Force.   Cohen Haynes (pictured) - The New Threat (17U) - Haynes is a prospect who scores in bunches. He has some elusiveness to his game and waits for the right moment to attack the basket. He also has a jumper in his bag and can make defenses pay from the perimeter. He also does a good job of facilitating when needed. On defense, he will pester opponents and utilizes his length to frustrate matchups. All in all, I like what he brings to the table.   Juelz Coney - 2 Face Elite (17U) - Juelz Coney is always dangerous on offense when he has the ball in his hands. He can take opponents off the dribble fairly easily, and I like that he's able to finish at the rim. He also splashed in some shots from beyond the arc for Two-Face Elite. On the other end of the court, he flies around and is able to come up with a number of steals. With that said, he definitely looks like a player who has the attributes to play at the next level.   Tony Salemi - CBG (17U) - Tony Salemi was turning heads throughout the weekend for CBG. He is a big-time facilitator and does a fantastic job of finding his teammates once he draws the defense's attention. He also has a few smooth moves in his bag that he uses to maneuver around opponents in the paint. I was also impressed with Salameh's defense. He swats a ton of shots for a guard while also collecting rebounds. His diverse skill set and athleticism are fun to watch, and he notably had one of the top dunks of the weekend when he threw one down with his left hand.   Alex Wolff - Illinois Force (17U) - Alex Wolf is a tough competitor who is fairly efficient on offense. I watched him connect on three triples for Illinois Force in one of their wins on Saturday afternoon. He also has a nose for the basket and can blow by defenders when he puts his foot on the gas. As a defender, he can be relentless and applies good ball pressure. Overall, he's a very competitive prospect who seems to play the right way.
