The Florida Rebels 16U team features a strong group of 2028 prospects and got off to a 3-1 start at Session I of the EYBL. Loaded with talent across multiple positions, this group is poised to draw significant attention from college coaches throughout the spring and summer. Here's a look at some of the top players to watch.    One of the state's top point guard prospects, Maurice is a quick, attacking lead guard who puts constant pressure on the defense. He is tough to keep out of the paint, shows the ability to find open teammates, and continues to improve as a perimeter shooter. With his high basketball IQ and playmaking instincts, he brings strong value as both a scorer and facilitator.     One of the breakout 2028 prospects this spring, Smith is a strong, physical, and athletic wing scorer. The Oak Ridge sophomore followed up an impressive showing at the Tip-Off Classic earlier this month by averaging nearly 12 points per game this weekend in Atlanta at EYBL Session I. He is tough to keep out of the paint, excels in transition, and rebounds well for a perimeter player, highlighting his toughness and effort level.     The Bartow junior led the Rebels in assists this weekend, averaging nearly five per game. Ratteree is an aggressive, athletic scoring lead guard who plays with confidence and consistently puts pressure on the defense. He is capable of creating his own offense and is a shot maker, though he can be streaky at times. His blend of scoring ability and playmaking makes him a dynamic presence in the backcourt.     A 2028 prospect with significant upside, Smith is a combo forward with good positional size and length. He is just beginning to scratch the surface of her offensive potential, but has already shown the ability to score at all three levels and play with a high motor. With his tools and developing skill set, Smith is certainly a prospect to track closely moving forward.     Knox is a talented offensive prospect in the 2028 class. A lanky wing with good size, he shows the ability to score at all three levels and brings high level athleticism to the floor. As he continues to add strength and develop physically, his long term upside remains very high as a wing scorer with size at the college level.     Ekutshu brings impressive size and athleticism, runs the floor well, and plays with a consistently high motor. He is an above the rim finisher who impacts the game in transition and on the glass, rebounding at both ends. His offensive skill set continues to improve, and defensively he shows the ability to switch and guard multiple positions, adding to his overall versatility and upside.     Gilliard is a shifty lead guard who is very comfortable with the basketball and shows a strong feel for the game at a young age. He is a solid open shot maker and does a good job of finding teammates and creating opportunities for others. As he continues to develop physically, his overall effectiveness and upside will continue to rise.
