2029 Rankings Update: Top Newcomers

PH NorCal updated Class of 2029 Rankings.    NorCal's top newcomer in this class. He's long, stronger than he looks, plays with a good amount of confidence. He had good minutes on the Varsity. He's active, with a versatile skill set that allows him to effect the game from inside/out. He's comfortable, moves well along the perimeter. He had solid drives, using hard dribbles to get into the paint through traffic using his length, and balance to finish around the rim. He knocked down timely 3's, he has a post up game. He worked the boards on both ends.     He was a do it all Freshman his first season of Varsity basketball. According to stat 16.2ppg, 6rpg, 3.3apg, and 3.9spg. He has speed, quality handles, has good movement on the court. He can put the ball in the basket. He has range, can knock down 3's off the dribble. He did some handling up top, has court vision, a willing passer. He'll get some exposure playing on the UA circuit this Spring.     He's a good ball handler at 6'6, brings the ball up court, handles pressure okay, has the court vision to deliver quality passes up, and around the court. He had good ball movement around the perimeter. He can make moves along the perimeter with a crossover, good strides and dribbles to get into the paint from the perimeter using his length to shoot paint jumpers, or finish with layups in traffic at the 15U level. He defends multiple positions, has lateral movement, lengthy arms on the perimeter, size to defend, and rebound in the post. He started on JV, then moved to the Varsity during the season.     A good size prospect at 6'3, long arms, solid body, will probably grow a couple of more inches. He's comfortable on the perimeter, moving, cutting, stands shot ready, but more likely to use a couple of dribbles, and balance making his moves toward the basket. He'll finish with the left or right hand, makes his free throws. He has the size to handle himself in the post.      Davis was a starter for a team that played in the NCS DI Championship Game. He's a 6'3 growing shooting guard. He primarily looks for open spots for a catch and shoot 3ptr, sometimes he'll run off a screens, he's ball mover, will use his dribble to attack on occasion. Plays the wing using length to disrupt passing lanes, gets a hand up on shooters     A strong stocky point guard, good handles, and leverage, makes strong moves to the basket. He's was a Varsity player who came off the bench for limited action. He'll get a chance to show himself more at the 15u level on the UA Rise Circuit. He can run the teams offense, makes good passes, can get the ball inside. He has footspeed and lateral movement to stick to ball handlers.     He's a fast guard, at this point probably pass first type. He has good handles keeps his dribble live up top, moves the ball around the perimeter, tries to feed the post. He does play off ball as well. He has quick feet to stay close, at times disrupt ball handlers bringing the ball up court, plays denial, might get a steal using speed to race away for a layup.     Physically strong upper body, still developing as a basketball player. He was a Varsity player, didn't see much action. He does have size and effort as a post defender. He'll spend time developing other parts of his game playing at the 15u level with UA Rise this Spring against quality competition. He'll bump and bang for rebounds, get put back points. He sets solid screens, hustles up court.     He was a starter on the JV last season, long still growing. Will play on the competitive UA Rise Circuit this Spring. He's a good all around player at the 15u level, plays on the perimeter, has court vision, moves the ball, looks for cutters, feeds the post. He'll put up 3's if open, he has a good first step on the drive. He's an alert defender, works hard to defend on the perimeter, lateral movement, deals with screens, length to distract shooters. He'll go in and help rebound, might keep it and go.     The 6'3 shooting guard led his Varsity team in scoring 14.1ppg, while helping on the boards with 4rpg. He has footspeed handles to create his shot opportunities off the dribble. He's a confident 3-point shooter, spotting up in the corners on the catch, will hit with a hand in his face. He can push fast up court, change directions on the move, deliver quality passes in a fast pace game. He could go higher, we'll see more.     A 6'2 starter on his JV team, an alert defender usually in help position, finds a body to boxout, doesn't mind mixing it up defending and going for rebounds at the JV level. The lefty has decent ball handling skills, can attack along the baseline, has vision to spot open mates with good passing around the court. We'll see more.
