This year's Nike Jr. EYBL Super Session proved to be even more impressive than last year's event. Featuring 160 Jr. EYBL teams from the 7th and 8th grade divisions from across the country, the event brought together one of the most talented and competitive collections of teams you will find anywhere in grassroots basketball. Throughout the weekend, the level of play, intensity, and skill on display made it clear that the future of the game is in great hands. From dominant team performances to programs that consistently rose to the challenge in tough matchups, several teams stood out with their ability to compete at a high level. Below is a closer look at several teams that truly made a statement during the weekend. ⸻ 2030 Rondo Elite The 2030 Rondo Elite program arguably made one of the biggest statements of any team in the country this weekend. With an impressive combination of size, athleticism, and chemistry, they consistently showed why they are considered one of the top programs in the class. Even while being undermanned with several players not in attendance, Rondo Elite still managed to defeat some of the toughest teams in the country. Their toughness, talent, and ability to compete at a high level make it clear that they have the potential to be one of the teams to beat on the Jr. EYBL circuit moving forward. ⸻ 2030 New York Lightning Black The 2030 New York Lightning Black continue to establish themselves as one of the toughest and most aggressive defensive teams in the country. Loaded with athleticism and talent, they compete with relentless intensity from start to finish, consistently wearing opponents down as games progress. Utilizing their elite size and positional athleticism, they do an outstanding job imposing their physicality and defensive pressure, making them a very difficult matchup for any team they face. ⸻ 2030 New Jersey Scholars The 2030 New Jersey Scholars are a team that competes with toughness and athleticism, combined with elite positional size that makes them a difficult matchup for any opponent. With their physical style of play and ability to impose their presence on both ends of the floor, they present a major challenge for teams across the circuit. Moving forward, they will be a very tough group for anyone to deal with. ⸻ 2030 MS Blue Smoke The 2030 MS Blue Smoke program is a group that plays with poise, experience, and toughness that is difficult to replicate. With a highly experienced roster, they remain composed in high-leverage situations and consistently execute when the pressure rises. They feature elite guard play with the ability to consistently make plays on both ends of the floor whenever their team needs it. They operate at a high level as a unit, featuring high-IQ guards, long athletic versatile wings, and a strong physical presence inside. Their balance, organization, and strong coaching make them one of the most complete teams in the league, and a very difficult matchup for any opponent.
