It's been a minute since I dropped a Sniper School edition but Day 1 at the AHSAA semifinals demanded it. When the lights are bright and the pressure is real, perimeter shooting can flip a game in seconds. Multiple prospects stepped into the moment and let it fly with confidence. And as always, to qualify for Sniper School, you must knock down at least three triples in a game I'm evaluating live. These guys earned their stripes…

[player_tooltip player_id='2892687' first='Jake' last='Cloud'] (6'0/CG/'28/Section)

IG: Jakecloud3

Jake was absolutely outstanding in his semi-final performance. He scored it from all levels and showed a strong scoring prowess and ability to create his own shot at any moment of the possession. He is tough to contain off the bounce, and when he was able to knock down the perimeter shot, it put defenders in a tough situation, having to decide to play him for the shot or the drive, and at that point, they were at Jake's mercy. He finished with 25 pts, going 3-7 from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832741' first='Brodie' last='Overdear'] (6'4/F/'26/Section)

IG: brodie_overdear

Brodie consistently made winning plays and hustle plays. He was impactful across the stat sheet and provided momentum swinging plays with his activity on defense and on the glass. He has a good frame with strength and is able to defend multiple positions. Offensively, he finds ways to score and did a really good job scoring from deep. He finished with 19pts going 3-5 from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1961231' first='Pearce' last='Boone'] (6'5/G|F/'26/Providence Christian)

X: @pearceboone12

Pearce is known for his potent scoring prowess, and he had it going early and often during his team's semi-final game. He scores from all levels and has a really good feel for creating his own offense from all areas of the floor. He proved to be able to get his shot at any point in the possession, and is a really good shot maker who can make off-balance shots, score in the mid-range, finish above the rim off the bounce, and absolutely stroke the rock from deep. He finished with 22pts going 4-4 from behind the arc.

DeSarion Lewis (5'6/PG/'27/RC Hatch)

DeSarion is a small guard who did not have an efficient night from behind the arc, but his scoring was vitally needed in a highly contested match-up. Despite his team falling behind, he provided valuable production with his perimeter shooting, keeping his squad in contention. One thing about DeSarion is that, despite his numbers, he stuck to the strength of his game: his outside shooting. He finished with 12pts going 4-11 from behind the arc.

Fred Bogen (5'9/PG/'26/Brantley)

Fred made his impact with an efficient night from behind the arc. All his points actually came from behind the arc, and the shots that he made were timely. He did a good job playing his role, showing his maturity level, and he is the kind of player who will do what is needed of him. He finished with 9pts going 3-5 from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1959224' first='Frisco' last='Robertson'] (6'0/Wing/'26/Wadley)

IG: frisco.m4

Frisco had an efficient night from behind the arc, making shots that kept the defense spaced and stretched. He understands his role and how he impacts the game, and he played within those parameters. His outside shooting was needed, and despite his team falling, he helped his team be competitive. He finished with 16pts going 3-6 from behind the arc.
