On the docket for Wednesday night was a rescheduled matchup between Blythewood and West Florence. I had plans of attending the original time they played, and it worked out well for me to fit it into this week's schedule. This was my first time seeing both teams this season, so I was eager to see them go head-to-head and see where all of their prospects stand. Check out these five names to know from Blythewood vs West Florence:

[player_tooltip player_id='3492475' first='Asa' last='McQuaker'] isn't a new name to my radar, but he fits into the mold of a "late bloomer" and someone who will be a high addition to the final Prep Hoops SC Class of 2026 Rankings. He holds an offer from Southeastern Illinois College, and with his combination of length and shooting, it isn't hard to see why. McQuaker is a confident perimeter weapon and an excellent free-throw shooter, but he also knows how to use his size to affect the game closer to the rim. He was huge on the offensive glass late, turning West Florence's biggest advantage on its head during a quarter that Blythewood won 27-9. Asa's 23 points were impressive, but it was the improvement from 2 first-half rebounds to 9 second-half rebounds that won the game.

Like McQuaker, Major stepped up late to help bring the Bengals back into the game. He drew a very smart foul right before the end of the third quarter, then had back-to-back quick buckets early into the fourth to give his team its first lead of the game. Elijah has a nice frame with good athleticism to make plays, but he's also shown a much-improved feel since I saw him last. He isn't the primary facilitator in this offense, but he can still have actions run through him and has a good connection with a lot of his teammates. Major also connected on two catch-and-shoot threes and was relentless on the offensive glass to go for 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in the win.

Braylen is an intriguing role player who stepped up and earned some closing minutes for the Bengals in an important region win. Although he wasn't starting, his activity around the rim on both ends turned out to be a necessary asset for his team. Hayes put up 4 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, showing a true desire for finding the ball. He has a little bit of length, athleticism, and comfort with the back to the basket, so when he puts it all together, he can be a nice piece for Blythewood, like he was on Wednesday night.

One of the bright spots for West Florence, despite the loss, was the play of Greenway. He was excellent in the first half, particularly on the offensive end, where his shot-making helped the Knights build a lead. Aiden put up 20 points, but all of it was built around his ability to hit shots on the perimeter. Defenses know he is a deadly catch-and-shoot threat, so they will closeout on him hard, opening up lanes for him to get to a consistent mid-range shot or floaters in the paint. Greenway also has excellent touch on his shot and will hit even heavily contested jumpers.

Drew rounds out the names to know from Blythewood vs West Florence on Wednesday. He is your typical, gritty, three-sport athlete who is just a solid all-around player. He was excellent on the offensive glass, walled up to keep opposing bigs away from the rim, and is comfortable with the ball in his hands in the paint. Wilson is not the type of big man you throw the ball to and let him work, but he is solid as a screener and will do the dirty work defensively. He racked up 9 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
