Despite graduating program star Michael Nwoye and a couple of integral wings the Knights are poised to capture another title. Maplewood is once again guard-heavy and [player_tooltip player_id='3041017' first='James' last='Davis'] is the most prolific of the bunch. He can and does create his own shot regularly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2373251' first='Isiah' last='Ring'] / Senior / Hume-Fogg / Point Guard</em></strong><br>Elite first step quickness. In the last 12-18 months Isiah grew into a solid point guard capable of commanding strong players and guiding his team. He will not be alone as an attacker. Can he make teammates better than they would be without him? Though they lost some very good seniors Hume-Fogg appears quite strong on paper heading into this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2637449' first='Eden' last='Nandzo'] / Junior / MLK / Point Guard</strong></em><br>Despite his sophomore status in 2024-2025, [player_tooltip player_id='2637449' first='Eden' last='Nandzo'] earned 1st Team All-Region and 1st Team All-District. MLK Head Coach Caden Anderson expects Nandzo's improvement to showcase favorably later this month.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"He is a 'Yes, Sir' [guy]...just an unbelievable dude" shared Coach Anderson via phone call November 5th. "[Eden] is going into his junior year. He does everything well. John's older brother graduated in the spring after a sparkling high school career. [player_tooltip player_id='2373252' first='John' last='Nwoye'] plays a slightly different role but possesses similar size and agility.
