Over the past couple of weeks, I've been previewing some standout players across all divisions of the MIAA. Though prep schools get lots of the love when it comes to basketball exposure, there is still absolutely a good amount of talent in the MIAA.

That being said, let's continue on with some 2029 studs who will turn heads this season.

Healey is an incredibly intriguing long-term prospect who should make waves this season for Scituate High School. The 6-foot-5 forward is obviously only a freshman, but his size alone will allow him to get lots of rebounds and impact lots of shots on the defensive end, especially at the MIAA division 2 level. He has solid athleticism for his size (he gets above the rim for easy dunks) and he also has some verve and feel to the way he handles the rock. Healey's skills on the perimeter and craft near the rim are going to make a big impact this season and he's going to be a highly sought after reclass candidate. Exciting young player.

Martinez is a physical, skilled, and versatile wing who plays well beyond his years. The 6-foot-4 freshman plays at his own pace and uses his body quite effectively in the paint; he moves players pretty easily and is not afraid to throw his weight around. He also has good enough handles to puncture the paint against opposing wings and bigs but a nice-looking shot from the outside if the defender plays off of him. Martinez should absolutely make Belmont High School's varsity team this year, and my guess would be that he plays a pretty significant role. He's only going to continue to get better, too. Bright future.

Taku is beyond special. The 6-foot-5 forward has incredible physical attributes for his age—he's long and athletic and is quite strong in the paint—but he also has some guard skills and a really nice finishing bag at the rim. He can make layups and floaters with both hands and can also take contact at the hoop. And, the freshman is able to step out and knock down outside shots, too. He is a special player who should play a significant role on a good Malden Catholic team this season. Sky's the limit for Taku, who is going to light up the MIAA this year.

Poage is another incredibly intriguing long-term prospect because of his combination of size, skill and feel. The 6-foot-6 forward has excellent length and uses it in all the right ways. He impacts lots of shots on the defensive end and is also quite adept at finishing near the rim — he showcases some surprisingly good touch and craft. He can also occasionally knock down shots from long range and is only going to continue to get stronger and more athletic. Poage looks young, but he already has great foundational size and skill. Excited to see how he'll play this season for Arlington Catholic High School.

Katznelson has a real chance to be one of Sharon High School's better players this season. The 6-foot-5 forward recently underwent a significant growth spurt over the past year, but he didn't lose his perimeter skills and feel. He's able to handle and shoot the ball on the perimeter, but he can also use his size and strength to force his way into the paint. Oh, and he has some really nice post moves, too. Katznelson has such a bright future ahead and I would be shocked if he isn't a big part of what Sharon does this season.
