The updated 2028 Rankings have been released, and it's time to discuss some of the new additions and do some player breakdowns. We will start with the big men. They are scattered throughout the rankings, but each of these players has the size. Their development will be key to realizing their next-level potential.

King is a dual sport athlete with obvious upside in two sports. The big man is a talented QB with a soft passing touch, and his basketball game is the same. In summer ball there was a noticeable difference in his development from last season, along with improved touch. King is a baby faced big man with all of the tools required for high level growth and next level competition. He will be a big part of West Monroe this season.

Maper is a 6"8 player with unlimited upside. With his size, and athleticism the rest is up to him and his team of trainers and coaches. In the summer, he consistently showed flashes of his potential by rebounding, blocking shots, and finishes dunks. On top of all that he showed that he has been working on his three point shot. All eyes will be on him as he is surely just scratching the surface on his basketball growth.

Drain is a big. He is what coaches look for a the next level. He is not just long, but he has the size and frame to be a dominant force in the paint. He is also a football player and has the strength to handle himself in the post. Drain has all of the essentials to be an impact player at Ruston this season and beyond. This season could be his breakout season for Drain after the football season closes. He is bigger, stronger and faster than he was last season.

Moreno improves each time I see him play and he gains more comfort on the court with each competition. He is a big strong kid, and plays the smart game. In a game where bigs look to handle the ball and do guards work, Moreno does the little things and he works for his guards. He rebounds, outlets, sets screens and finishes. All at a high level. He has plenty of time to develop and he is on the steady path.

Bell hops into the ranking and shoots straight to the top 10. He is a big/wing with all everything falling in line for him right now. What sets Bell apart is his high motor, action off the ball and productivity on both sides of the ball. He is a natural talent with quickly developing skills and a competitive nature. He was constantly mentioned at the Pangos All American Camp (Top 30 Selectee) for his performance and this year will be a big one for him. Coaches and scouts will be on the lookout for this rising star in the state.

The 2028 Class is one that has is following up a talented 2027 Group with lots of talent and potential. Stay locked in for more player breakdowns on some of our players to watch this upcoming season.

The updated 2028 Rankings have been released, and it's time to discuss some of the new additions and do some player breakdowns. We will start with the big men. They are scattered throughout the rankings, but each of these players has the size. Their development will be key to realizing their next-level potential.
